Good Morning people.

@Phoenix NL
grats on playing Journey it's really a great experience. And just to cover one of those mainstream suggestions. You have to play all 3 Uncharted games.

@the question about the ending dlc.
Dunno I think it will be pretty bad. But my hope is still strong for an amazing experience. (Hope dies last)

Morning! *hugs*
I finished Uncharted 3 over the weekend, absolutely loved it. Am waiting for the first 2 to come in. I've also ordered Heavy Rain and God of War 3. Any other PS3 only games I should look at?

Edit: You say hope dies last but I think you'll find that cockroaches do.... Image IPB

Hey you *hugs back*, you should know by now that the only way to fix a printer is with a hammer Image IPB

Which tweet are we talking about or is it something that's just going to end up giving me a headache? And why have Jennifer Hale's tweets depressed you or again is it better not knowing?

So true, time to raid the toolbox. :lol:

I believe this is the tweet that Lestat was referring to. As for the JHale tweets being depressing, it's not entirely ending-related so not really anything that needs worrying about.

I'm going for a diploma in Distributed Software Development. It sounds really good.

*hugs for you too* This sounds neat! Hopefully the nervousness of transitioning will be super worth it once you get underway. :)

*hugs* Hey you, welcome back. Yeah I hope so too, I'm probably making mountains out of mole hills, I tend to do that.

Hope you're well! :D

@ Phoenix For me you shud try Ico and Shadow of the Colossus both have been redone for the PS3 and are both still stunning to play. Not to every1's taste but I still enjoy them. Fingers crossed for release of The Last Guardian at some point.

Yes well really you should be more worried about leaving us all alone here to our own devices while you're at college Image IPB

That sounds like it would be interesting, what kind of roles would that lead you into?

The PS3 is nice, still an Xbox person but I finally got to play Journey!

Haha well hopefully this mess will all be sorted by the time I go to college (I will either be going July or October, need to figure out a money situation first before I can see if July is too soon or not)

Here is a link to the actual course I'm thinking of doing, it can explain it better than I could lol.

That's fair enough I have Journey but haven't actually played it much, it's.....weird lol.

Ah it's a proper Microsoft cert, that's awesome. Certifications are the way to go in IT, that and experience will go farther than an IT degree any day.

I know what you mean about Journey, I started it and this was the look on my face Image IPB. But then I got into and started to understand the story a bit and it's really quite beautiful at the end.

Yeah, I kind of made sure of that because I want something recognised worldwide since I plan on moving back to Scotland eventually.

I got stuck on Journey and gave in actually, there was some wee dude following me about and it was creepin me out and I had no clue where to go lol.

I will get back to it eventually though.

If you like strategy games. You can't go wrong with Valkyria Chronicles from Sega. Sadly the game was not a real commercial succsess but I loved it. ( still didn't finish it though :( )

Other than that.
Metal Gear Solid 4 Not the best game ever but still an enjoyable experience. (Great Ending too)
The Ratchet and Clank games.
Little Big planet 2

Those are the worthwhile ps3 exclusives out of the top of my head. Pretty sure I forgot some other good games.

@xHezz90
Not trying to make you feel bad or anything but how can you get stuck at journey?*curious*

*edit* If you don't want to get followed disconnect from the internet. :) The multiplayer connects two random people.

lol that was another player trying to do the level with you.

Well *puts IT person hat on* from a company owner's perspective that's the kind of thing that I would look for, followed by experience using those products in a practical sense. Obviously one step at a time but once you've done this course, I would recommend starting to think about whether you want to specialize in any particular area and then build on that skill set when you can. My hubby is a good example of this, his certs make his CV look like a Welsh road sign Image IPB  But everyone is different so do it in a way that makes you happy.

@Beanfedbeast

that depends are we talking inengine cutscenes or prerendered.
And are all the assets ready or do they have to model new ones. (Characters/Animation/Locations).
If all those things are availble it shouldn't take too long for a big production team. But you never know what they do.

When I do cg animations for work it usually takes me a lot of time because I have to do everything from animation/modeling/lighting/texturing etc. So I can only use that as a vague estemate. Never worked in a pipeline though.

That guy has a weird little logic. He says he did not play ME3 but he also says he likes the endings. Of course it is just tip off the hat for the ex employer... I don't care... If they won't do new endings they will lose money. Not I...
