It was most likely the "I trust you implicity" dialogue.

That makes sense. Curiousity satisfied, lol.

Sorry to ask, but I have been absent for a long time "what is the news?"
I think I heard something a while back about some sort of explanation into the ending and that was about as much as was gunna happen, that alternate/additional endings just aren't happening.
Am I wrong/ is there anything else? (sorry I don't have time to go through about 500 pages for info - damn uni).

This is basically the only thing of major importance to have happened.

You also might want to watch this.

Aside from various tweets and other forms of PR doublespeak (doubleplus ungood!), the only real news is the announcement of an "Extended Cut" DLC due out some time in the summer. It will be free to download and is supposedly going to "clarify the existing endings" and will not add new ones. At least, according to the press release.

Well they have potentially had an upswing in readership thanks to their articles on the ending. It would make sense that they would keep reporting on little bits until the summer and try to keep those new readers interested. Or it's just a guy who really enjoyed it and got the go ahead to write about it. Image IPB

Okay, I have a question to pose. Why do I keep hearing arguments about the ending of the game posing an "impossible choice", or the "illusion of choice"? I mean, I get why people would cite this as a reason they like the ending, because there's a weird sort of emo, hopeless, artfulness to it (and some people are weird like that). What I don't get is why they cite this as a reason that we should all shut up with the complaining and accept the endings too. I could list a dozen reasons myself as to why I think it is so blatantly wrong, but I thought it better to see what points you guys have.

While we may not agree there may be people out there who believe that these kinds of endings were inevitable and that war wil always require sacrifice etc.

Sad, dark, gloomy and no win seem to be the new thing these days for some reason.  Don't ask me why, since generally my life is sad, dark and gloomy most of the time, so I tend to take my entertainment to forget for a while.  Though you see it in television, movies, games, books.  Maybe it's people looking at it like if the entertainment is worse than my life, I can face my life better?  I don't really know.

This could also have to do with my sleep deprived state.  Any grammer or spelling errors are because the screen is all blurry.

Thank you for replying. I'm going to assume I'm not the only one who's not particularly happy about the response, but what can you do? Pity, I haven't touched it since reading about the endings - yep I haven't even finished it (I watched all the endings mind you, so I know what I didn't miss haha), and I can't bring myself to. Oh well, anyone have some recommendations of some great RPGs I could play instead??

Why don't you try to put your head down for a couple more hours sleep?

I'm thinking about it, though last time I did that I stared at the ceiling and my clock for an hour and a half.

*cough* sorry about that *tries to get rid of her excitement due to it being similar to the ME3 excitement*

lol, I found this rather amusing.

Anyway, I think BioWare should probably take note this thread is over 3.4 thousand pages long...

It's always worth giving it a shot. If nothing else just close your eyes and let them get some rest Image IPB
I do understand the how frustrating it can be though, you lie there wanting to go to sleep but the more you think about it the more awake you end up being! I find sometimes having a documentary or something on in the background that I'm not really interested in helps me drift off and stop being in my own head so much.

It should be ok, it sounds like the Witcher 2's devs really did listen.

I agree that The Witcher 2 is a great game (personally I prefer The Witcher 1, but I'm weird that way) and I can't wait for the xbox version to arrive :)
