Basically that the whole Mass Effect series was one insulting gianttrollfrom Bioware. And that this is supposed to carry a poetic weight that those that are angry about the game will come to appreciate in the future.
If that's what they were going for, I suppose that's fine. I'm just sure those that have beentrolledand lied to would very much like the +$180 they sunk into all this back then. Also don't wonder why it is that people aren't willing to touch what you create in the future. It's all BS.
Edit: noticed another use of the banned word.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

If he stays, then we need the option to tell him to screw off. Basically reject his logic as a fourth option. This is not exactly optimal, but anything less than this, and the ending remains as broken as it is now. No exceptions.Phoenix NL wrote...
OK serious question - Bearing in mind that it doesn't seem likely that the Starbrat will be removed and the current endings will not be changed in any overly significant way, what would be important for you to see in the Extended Cut dlc?
I don't think we'll get this, because it will require a lot of effort to create the events that would follow it. And I don't expect any real effort from them to be honest. Or for them to break from there doom and gloom multicoloured ending so easily.

A brighter conclusion for me personally, I don't want to walk away from this series feeling like everything I ever loved is dead or dying. I want victory and hope, I want to smile instead of cry. I want to feel like it was worth it. I want a positive feeling that makes me want to tell the world how amazing the experience was. To paraphrase someone who posted in a thread a while ago "I want to clutch the case affectionately to my chest while smiling", the only tears I would hope to shed are tears of joy.

Personally i agree with you, i don't expect Starchild to be removed or another option added. All i expect is basically extended cutscenes to what is there already. Hope i'm wrong. Expect the worst and there's a chance you'll be pleasently surprised.
Anyway morning/afternoon everyone. Depending on your location.

Hm...Normandy and Shepard reunion scene. That's basically the only thing I care about. As long as I know they will be together again...
Also, since it's a DLC, it will be optional, therefore they could use Indoctrination Theory (not very likely to happen though). I don't understand why they just didn't give us a whole new ending...it's optional; people who like it could keep their ending as it is, and those who don't, would get a whole new ending and be happy...<_<

Shepard: to starbrat, 1/0 = ?
Starbrat: *ptzzzz*
On a serious note, I want to destroy him and the crucible, when thinking about it, the crucible started this whole mess.
Damn right your solution won't work anymore!

I would want to wake up:-)
What I want in the ending is more than 3 options, no circular logic, more answers than questions no deus ex machina, no contradiction to previous gameplay and take into account my previous actions (Geth-Quarians).
I want at least to ask that "stupid machine" what about "storing protheans"? What about Geths not killing Quarinas?
I do not think that Starbrat is compatible with proper ending...And I have bad feeling about Extended Cut...more questions, more plot holes...

To be honest I expect nothing good from the extended cut DLC.... It's free.... given that EA is their publisher, that means it does not require a-lot of time/effort/money.
*Jumps in*
The only possibly positive thing about the Expanded ending I can see is that they don't seem to be rushing it, which would seem to imply that it is going to be somewhat more than a quick 'slideshow'.
Of course that doesn't automatically mean it is going to be good or change the A,B C ending. But the fact that they have not given a better idea of the release date beyond 'summer', and seem to have dragged in every available writer, does seem to indicate a desire to put as much into the DLC as possible.
*Shrugs* I'm not getting my hopes up, and indeed I'm somewhat apathetic towards Bioware and ME3 right now - If I wasn't I would hardly have removed all Bioware games from my PC. But I'll wait and see if the DLC is worth downloading and not automatically assume it is going to be bad.
