Armalur is an EA game.... While I played the demo and liked it well enough, I'm not about to go out and buy yet another EA game, because I personally don't support their business practices, that however doesn't mean that I won't for all time, it just means that until the rectify the situation, I'm not buying their games... Which is sad cause some of the small companies under EA's control make really good games, like the guys who made Amalur...

Hey Ajna! That wouldn't work for me unfortunately, I would end up reading until all hours and not getting any sleep lol.

Yeah I'm the same way, btw I did get about 6 hours sleep, took a long walk when I got up and rearranged my living room again.  However, I am not back to hold the line with my trusty kitty cats Kiki (I did not name her my stepsons did) and Mirax.

That's what I'm going to do, I'm gonna buy it from Gamestop, since that's where I get all my console games these days. (Power Up Rewards Pro member) But I'm going to wait for a drop in price, but for now I've got The Witcher 2 awaiting me at Game Stop when I go in today and pick it up~! Time for more stealthy assassinations from me~~!

I get you're point and I agree that some of the interesting elements from the first game are missing in the follow ons but I have to admit that I really liked Ezio and that's what made the AC2 games for me. But that's what makes it interesting, no two people will ever have exactly the same opinion

Meh. Gamestop and it's used game policies are part of the reason that paid DLC and other crap exists. And why game companies (for example, EA) are looking to make it so that when you buy a game it is locked to your console so you can never sell it or even bring the disc to your friends house to play there.

Yeah I know what you mean, I personally like the Info gathering process of 1, but, for the AC2 games I really liked how they did those as well... Personally I can't wait to see how they're going to do the whole process in AC3.

I see it that way. Even there is someone with good writing skills and even the hole writer staff help to make the ending better, there will be no changes on the ending itself. You will stuck up with the same three options like before. So even you will see you EMS taking part in the battle, get explaination about the plotholes and closure you only can choose between Red, Blue and Green. In my opinion if they don't change the ending, and i mean more then 3 options, they don't need to make a better ending DLC.

For me, tis like some kind of a bad dejavu. I remember when the rumors about how bad the ending broke out, I did a lot of digging with a heavy dose of sceptism that "BW wouldn't do this kind of thing!"

The only thing your choices affected was what order. They say they wanted to reflect the Hawk was at the center of a vortex of events he/she could not really control. But it was very clear from the rushed schedule and level reuse that they simply did not have the time and resources to do it properly.

There is also a disturbing parallel between the subsequent DLCs and ME3. They wanted to show their fans where they really wanted to go with the series. The stories were good and the level reuse was almost all gone. However, the lack of choice at the end of both DLC showed that they clearly were not able to address that issue in a meaningful way. It was better handled, but the endings were scripted and could not be significantly influenced.

Pretty good read. Most of here know enough to live by #1, but it's interesting how many people still quote official PR statements as gospel truth without any other critical thinking applied. Also #8 would be a good read for anyone who believes how bioware tried to defend the From Ashes cash grab.

I think Mike Gamble has already responded about this saying that they aren't far enough along in the production process for this person to have seen anything like what has been written. But I could be wrong.

That's BS - used games have been around as long as the gaming industry - its only in the last 5 years that supposed EVIL used gaming market is one of the things that's killing gaming.  BS - its crappy games - treating your customers like complete dirt - expect them to keep coming back for more.

Hell if it wasn't for shareware - ID wouldn't be where it was; same for Blizzard and spawning off Diablo and Starcraft.  If it wasn't for those factors - Blizzard wouldn't be where it is now period.

Instead of continueing to reward gamers - and actually give gamers what they want so we will hand over our money; We got people like Kotick - who has said he hates gamers period.  The real question is; how can you run a giant gaming company/publisher if you hate your customers.

EA's president wants to do a pay per bullet type of payment; this isn't how to treat your customers.  This is how to bring about another gaming crash like what happened in 1983. 

Its already happening - dumping of crappy games - cheap prices; it will get to the point again; gamers won't buy anything and we will have a crash - I mean business people need to relearn - Greed is not always good - treating your customers right will do more for your business than any amount of ad dollars will.
