Hence my original statement.
Thirty-five hundred pages and not a single case of moderator intervention, to me, speaks much, much louder than any vast horde or unruly mob, no matter the size, no matter the message, possibly could insofar as this specific forum goes. We continue to offer support and succor to those who have felt themselves wronged by the ending of ME3. We continue to make our presence felt, to let the devs and publishers know that we're not going away.
We continue to hold the line.
One of the basics of military strategy is, when you've established a defensive line and are under attack, you wait for that attack to peter out and your antagonists to retreat to their own lines before you begin the counteroffensive if it is warranted. Consciously or not, a lot of us feel as though we've been assaulted by the ending, and the HTL and Retake movements have become our bunkers, our safe refuges while we wait for the "enemy" (metaphorically-speaking) to make their next move. If they give us what they want, vindicating our defensive stand, then we greet them with open arms and the war is over for everybody—no muss, no fuss, no casualties.
If we are left wanting, however, and that want is sufficiently justified, then we can discuss further moves.
Well a moderator did step in a few hundred pages back, but that was because some flamers came in and started trying to cause trouble. But yeah, even Jessica's said she thinks the community's been quite civil on here. We hold the line in our own way, if HTL Batallion wants to run off and start lobbing dead husks over the walls of Bioware's HQ I don't think it's helpful to any of the batallions, but at the same time they're entitled to their opinion and choice.
I completely agree, if we're just trying to destroy Bioware now what's the point.. I don't WANT them destroyed.. I want EA to stop pressuring them into deadlines that aren't going to result in a quality product... another quarter wouldn't have killed them one bit, if they had of taken as long as they did to do ME2 they'd be prime 2012 christmas season and made a freaken fortune... bad business decision on EA's part... and we've definitely lit the torches around their walls and they know the peasants are displeased with the royal court.
Honestly I see it as better for Bioware.. give them more autonomy and they will release even better games, that will not lose their longevity, and will get people buying DLC, and avatar items, and whatever else they give out.. I was unapologetically "BIOWARE TAKE MY MONEY" before this game came out and the ending took my inner child and proceeded to shake him until he turned into citadel kid on me.
