Does anyone want to watch my cut of the ending? I tried to improve it with what little footage I had:

Makes me sad they couldn't just cut it down and fix it by leaving things on the cutting room floor.

but to give a taster to what i mean, germanys goverment is becoming like what a certain person in histiry tried to do and that person can not be named, now i DO know there are some germangoverment officals that are with the current times and they know what is happening with games and such and are actually trying to change certain laws in germany to be in line with the rest of the world, hell even austraila finally got round to making a new age bracket for games and movies aimed at adults.

Not true, because ME 1-3 can be played from an age of 16. Much more films get an 12 rating where I personaly would give them a 16 (the hunger games). The rating agency is not governmetal controlled, they just have to obey the law. True the law could be adaped for the newer times because some games have still a bad status here.

thanks for the hugs but i feel a bit better now, got some tramadol pills which i take for my back injury i suffered 16 years ago, (short version) was hit on the lower back by an empty computer chassis that was thrown by an idiot in a press shop, he got sacked and i got sick pay for 7 months lol

lol if you want a place that really cracks down with ratings etc you should go to Singapore. I was living there when the Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me film came out and I kid you not the Singaporean government had the title changed to "The Spy Who Shioked Me" (no that isn't a typo).

What is the current situation in Germany game-wise btw? I remember when it used to be... a bit too censor happy, but that was way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, -98 or something like that.
I've got the impression licenses are bigger problem for your everyday consumer these days? As in, youtube's geographical blocks etc?

wikipedia we know can be edited by everyone BUT there are a TON ofthings which are legit.

the only ones i DONT TRUST are games and game publisher entries as these have been abused by said game publishers.

well when i was growing up i was in an accident everyday, like 5 years old i almost lost 3 fingers, 12 years old i was making an oldschool go-karm using an old pram and usual planks of wood (i think the americans call them soap box xars), well i managed to hit myself on the head with a claw hammer so hard i knocked myself out .... i needed 4 stutches, 16 years old ... i almost died when i fell through the ceiling  from the loft and through a glass coffee table.

but when i hit 22 i have never had a single accident .... just a victim of some ass holes anger management fail.

Correct. The USK has nearly nothing to do with the german government. Also they are not as strict as some folks scream. Games like "God of War 3" (which is very brutal) and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" weren't cut or censored in any way (the killing spree-sequence "Modern Warfare 2" was changed btw. because it allows you to kill innocent). But it's not prohibited to sell the uncut version (for example the Austrian one).
I also don't think it's wrong to constrain the sale of "adult"-games to minors.

But this is off-topic imho.

Recently Gears of War 3 is sold openly, while 1-2 were never released in germany.
Comming from this I think it's getting better but it still sucks. They increased the size the
rating stickers which have become enormous. They're ruining the cover of
most games. (Yes it's directly printed on the inlay)

I mean officially games no matter how brutal are allowed to be sold in germany. *Fact*(Yes there are 1-2 exceptions). But if they don't get an 18+ rating companies are not allowed to promote them.

It is ok. Some cuts from time to time but mostly they are uncut and you can mostly order uncut stuff foreign countries.

I could continue this all day long. In short: we're not able to watch anything containing music of artists under GEMA-contract (which means nearly ALL artists).

For example we can't watch this...
We just get that..

Yeah ..but on the plus side you got Drakensang 1 and2 released there early...and few other great adventure games ...
Whispered World and one more...not even translated into english ...Book of  Unwritten Tales...
Plus Alf always sounded better in German than english in my opinion ,,lol

what i find really annoying is this.

now i'm a wwf/wwe fan and have been since i was 4 years old, i'm now 37 nearly 38.
now on wwe.com we can watch exclusive clips on various things as well as full shows of raw, smackdown and sometimes older ppv's.

well those exact same clips / shows are posted on youtube by the wwe themself but no-one outside the usa can view them yet i can watch them on there lg filled website.

talk about being idiotic

now think about this as well on monday and teusday we had the wwe at the O2 arena (the millinium dome) in london, sky tv shows these shows live all the time ........ except this time they dident, they showed them at the same time the usa see's it and the commentators micheal cole and jerry "the king" lawler kept saying "were broadcasting live from the O2 arena here in london" ............... which is a problem since it was being shown at 2AM but the show was recorded 6 hours previously.

Not all German developers are as big as Crytec used to be (also buyed by EA). Often the demand is not high enough to provide gamers all over the world.
Especially adventure games and their developers (such as daedalic) seem to be a dying species.
