Looking back at the characters we had through 1 and 3, I think it was a bad decision to give us so few companions in ME3. And Edi being one of them. I know they thought "if we pick this character, they will complaint that they preferred that one". But they new that some would be great for everyone. And heck, we didn't have a Krogan companion.

In the end, I think the cast of companions in ME3 was the weakest of all games. Who cares about Edi or Javik (payed dlc only, for some), anyway?

At least Garrus was there!

Everyone could be dead due to the Suicide Mission. It makes sense to make some new squadmates. What If Tali and Garrus are dead at the end of ME2? Then you would have

Tech: Edi
Soldier: Vega/Ashley*
Biosoldier: Kaidan*
Biotic: Liara
Jerk: Javik

I liked how the battle of Cardassia ended but no comment on Captain Sisko joining the Prophets and promising to come back to his wife.

Yeah.There was that problem. But Garrus or Tali could be dead too, and they were there. So, I think this could have been overcome. Maybe if more survived, you could have more companions. It would be fair if you managed to get a perfect ending before.

Didn't like the Sisko part, but I pretend that never happened. Other then that it was perfect, the war ended and you saw what happened to everyone after.

If Bioware somehow manages (and it's a big somehow) to set things right with ME3, then we, as both fanbase and constumers, can stop their demise...  Or at the very least, delay it.

But for now, it lies with them.  And I ain't holding my breath.

Hmm that would not happen fast, cause DICE has a very good technology (sound, engine) at hand. Even ME3s sounddesigne was supported by DICE.
