I'm hoping Witcher 2 has some DLC too at some point..... also I love all the LOTR references in the game..  Find a legendary ring, elf guy goes "Oh? One ring to bring them into the darkness and bind them?" everyone deadpan looks at him, "carrying on"

I really hope the ME3 EC gives us what we're hoping for though.  I want to go back to buying games again, though I doubt I'll preorder for a while.

Never preordering again. DA3? Yeah, I will wait at least a month until I dare to buy it. And I will read BSN like it's the bible.

See, I can't play the Witcher. It might be amazing, but the lack of customization...yeah, can't do it.

You can change your hair.. though it all comes in white... just different styles haha.  I'm enjoying it though..
DA3 I'll probably wait to see what IGN says, and then go by the opposite *snickers*

Anywho, I need to head to bed.  So glad tomorrow's friday.. longgggggggg week haha.  Hold the line all :police:
Remember: If you have to rip your shirt off and set it on fire to get what you want, you really need to ask yourself if it's worth getting.... that and if you can convince some other poor sod to do it for you! *renegade interupt*

here we go, it's rough, tried adding it to the actual face, but overpowers everything else.

At this point spam would probably only help out case i dont think bioware could ignore a petition several thousand pages long the problem is getting the foum population to stop the infighting and bickering and actually put together a concise petition for new endings.

Are you psychic or something?? You answered a post I started typing but never actually submitted. :D

Anyway ... on the spam. I've been seeing a lot of spam in this thread. Spam does bump up the page count, but unless we're planning to spam the the bad ending to death, this thread will become a waste of time. So guys please watch it with the screwing around. *snaps teeth*

I don't think we'll ever be able to stop the infighting, though. Just make your voice heard as much as you can.

That's not enough. Haha. My main problem is playing as one character no matter what. And it happens to be a male character. So...I'll wait for the Witcher 3 or whatever

HAHAHA, are you implying ME3 isn't worth it, sir?

Good night~!

I'm actually surprised there has been such little fighting between groups. Sure everyonce in a while, someone pops in that likes the ending, or just says they do to cause trouble, then vanishes, but it's rare. And between the several groups that dislike the ending, there was only the one instance where the guy was a little overzealous.

Of course debates are going to pop up from time to time amongst ourselves since there's so many different people in this thread, all with different opinions, and there's been so little news to bring us together. But I think for the most part this has been incredibly civil.

Yeah the off-topic stuff gets overwhelming from time to time, don't know how anyone can stop it from happening, it usually just snowballs out of control, then snaps back.

Speaking of off topic, I just saw that Arrested Development is coming back for a 4th season, nothing could bring me down right now.

I don't have a problem with the off-topic, it can't be helped and the mods don't seem to have a problem with it for now. So why should we?

We always end up back on some semblance of on-topic though.

It is not possible for a 3500 page thread to be on-topic the entire time. I'm sure the mods are happy that we're chatting cheerfully rather than each starting an individual thread comparing Casey Hudson to Hitler and the endings to the Holocaust. Which we won't do, because that would be terrible.

Sir, in which universe are you a lead writer of Mass Effect 3? Because I'd like to live there. Having such a ruthless backup plan is so... Illusivelike (I guess there's no such word really, but I don't care).

No, you are right there of course. I didn't mean all off-topic discussions. I meant instances where we have pages of successive, unsubstantial off-topic posts, or spam (off-topic does not necessarily equal spam), particularly when they bury on-topic or thoughtful posts. It's good that we're here; it'd be even better not to forget why we're here.

I know my saying this won't change anything however, so in the interests of keeping the peace I'll stop here and go make that long overdue cup of tea.

So has anyone seen this?

This guy uses astrobiology to defend the ending of ME3. He needs to pull out old theories like the Kardashev Scale to explain it. Basically he says that everything is foreshadowed, and Bioware had been using these old theories to build their plot.

The problem of course being that they never make any mention of using any of them. There is never a moment in the game or outside of it that they mention using these theories as basis.

Another glaring problem with these theories, these are THEORIES! Most old theories, that have no factual evidence to back them up. We cannot study advanced civilizations, because there are none known to us. So what they did was use math, and then just conjectures to create theories that have no basis in reality. They are utterly useless.

So this writer uses theories that have no basis in reality, to explain that the ending was obvious, not only that, the only viable options. Of course you can use Science Fiction to explain Science Fiction. Doctor Who has a Tardis, it travels in space and time. Why? Because the Time Lords had technology to create them. There, makes perfect sense right?

But what it comes down to is this; This is a videogame, you don't need a Doctorate in Astrobiology to play ME1, ME2, and 99% of ME3. You definitely shouldn't need it for the last 1%. If they needed a long drawn out article filled with tired theories based on someone's imagination to explain the story, they failed to write an acceptable ending.

Basically what this writer did, is he went in writing this article with a bias, to prove that we just aren't smart enough to enderstand the ending. So what he did is he went and found anything he could use to "prove" it to us. Disregarding that all of his arguements are flawed, and for lack of a better word, nonsense.

Ummm...probably not.

It'd be nice to have a sort of mini-convention at some point should it be necessary or convenient (as in, just for the hell of it), but to take it that far...

...really isn't so far-fetched, considering my own romantic life. ;)B)
