http://galacticpillo...t-3-ending/#1.0 <- I was reading this, and I think this part struck me as really funny and why Synthesis would've been the best ending ever if it had a Renegade interrupt:

In the synthesis ending, Shepard sacrifices himself to be the organic template for the synthesis, much as Legion apparently was. As awkward a conversation as it may create, Shepard could ask the Catalyst to let him go back down to the hallway full of human corpses, and pick out a dying or dead individual to throw into the beam instead.

We shouldn't get the ending that we want, but I was pretty darn sure that at the end shepard would either die or live depending on all the paragon or renegade options he made leading up to the final battle, EMS total etc. Then he has 2 options at the end just like in the previous ME that radically changes the ending.

But no, you're forced into 3 options and the endings are pretty much the same, except if you have a high enough EMS rating it looks like shepard may live in the destroy option. Nothing like the previous ME where the ending is completely different. Not to mention that it simply doesn't make any sense, how can shepard control the reapers when no one in any previous civilization ever could?

I really, really cannot bring myself to read all of it, but from your summary and from briefly skimming it ... with no offence intended to any parties, I really don't think that's what BioWare was going for at all. There is science in their lore, yes. There is also a lot of fantasy. Like you said, there's no indication in any of the lead-up to the game's/trilogy's end that you'd need an accompanying textbook to gain full understanding and enjoyment of the ending.

Of course being able to apply some scientific theory to the ending would make it more interesting. People can and have also done exactly that with literary theories, philosophical analysis and the like. Does it make the ending more thought-provoking? Perhaps. Does it make it more palatable, better executed as an example of story-writing, more suitable as an ending to ME3 and the series? Not for me.

I hope I'm not misinterpreting the article, haha

Oh, gosh, yes. That's part of what makes the ending so silly. Shepard happily runs straight into a pointless sacrifice like it's the light at the end of the tunnel.

i just finished watching the origonal 3 star wars movies on VHS, these were the ones before lucas got his basterdizing CGI digital remastered hands on em.

so much is changed on the new versions and it makes em all worse ~CRIES~

I am lucky in that I have the original theatrical release versions on DVD :)

Those exist on dvd?
My dvd-box is the remastered version... I could live with everything else, but Christensen at the end is kinda sorta horrible awful an abomination.

Yeah they do, about 5 years ago, they re-released the movies individually not in a set, and with those is both the SE and the Original Theatrical Releases.

He/she realised how dense and pointless the ending was, and just wanted out of that mess  Can't blame Shep, honestly.

No I think that just merges you with the topic of your lecture.

Of course! You can escape anything if you jump down a few hundred meters high structure into a highly energetic laser beam. Wow, that is a bit dark though

Should rather go with Kyria's answer...

I just went with red. Eh, why the heck not. My Shepard was always wobbling between being a complete jerk and an awesome, upstanding fellow. Plus I thought the geth would understand that I had to do what I had to do. The Quarians can just build them anew!

I hate compulsory studies when they have nothing to do with my major or minors...
In case you're wondering, the main theme of this "course" is working life. Or as I call it: working life and other lies.

It IS quite obvious

But uh, i didn't know it took so much time  Well it shouldn't matter , since you're talking to a guy who's vast majority of food comes from subway or quick microwave diners; or anything quickly made, for that matter !

Teehee! :D

Well I prepared it and just left it for a couple of hours. Then I made it and ate it, now I am back lol.

I used to be exactly like that too, but I got sick of it so I started making actual meals, and so far I have been doing well lol :P

not need to be sarcastic. It actually is very healthy.... for your look, for about a few weeks. Then you can apply as a stunt double for a zombie.

It is kind of serious. Energy drinks could lead to kidney and liver failures and cancer in a few decades, and too much bread can be linked to colon cancer if you have genetic dispositions. Watch out!
