Edit - Just me, or is greed becoming far too rampant?
-The US with CISPA & whatnot, to stop online piracy (they're still making billions...so why care?).
- Corporations sueing everyone and anyone who so much as thinks about their product without permission.
- US government trying to drag people from other nations to the US to face charges for things that aren't illegal in ther country.
- General extreme dives in quality for products whilst charging more and more for the item

Lol you too? Reminds me of when I was stuck on letho for a good half hour as he wiped the floor with me everytime haha (well its in the mines if you haven't gone through them already, won't say more lol)

I'm not sure whether it is just greed, or a desperate attempt to cling to the 70s and 80s, instead of trying to recreate their business practices and evolve.

For example, here there has always been a certain percentage which is payed for every bought save media, be it cassets, VHS tapes or dvd. This payment goes to the Finnish equivalent of GEMA.
Obviously this practice is outdated these days, yet instead of trying to evolve and work together with spotify and such, they lobbied a law which allows them to collect this same "tax" from modern save medias, such as harddrives... I think the exact wording was something along the lines of "if the format CAN be used to store (illegally downloaded) music". So now not only we have to pay for the music, we also have to pay for keeping it on our harddrives...
