Man you are awesome.

It's not my pic, but it is about as accurate as it gets, lol.

I made this last nite and linked it here. Got some feedback and changed it a bit. So much for my artistic integrity. Thought I'd post it for the next crowd.

And honestly, all I want from this EC is a happier ending or something. ME3 was the most depressing game I've ever played in my life.

It's really not that bad, a good few years ago probs something like 2002 or so one of my mates persuaded me to play some stupid JRPG. It started off with the protagonists family dying in front of him, then over course of the game you aquire various companions, most of who sacrifice themselves to save you at some point, then your LI gets killed off and then finally you and the antagonist have a massive show down which ends with the both of you dying. So yeah, ME3 is pretty depressing but it could be worse.

EDIT: And tbh, I could deal with a depressing ending as long as it was GOOD

See, that's JRPG. I'm used to dark and depressing JRPGs. Their tv shows are also very depressing. People dying in their media is like...the most natural thing ever. So I expect their games, tv shows, anime, manga to be very sad (I actually enjoy it; sometimes I need a reminder that my life isn't that bad)

But my problem with ME is that its main theme was hope and fighting for the impossible and succeeding, depending on your efforts. That was not present at the ending of ME3. So, for a ME game, it was the most depressing ending they could have made.

And I could deal with a depressing ending if we had the option of having a  very good and an okay ending. There was no choice. It was horrible, horrible, and horrible: pick your color. :crying:

Shepard always said he'd/she'd find away even when he/she wasnt sure what that way was. Things looked bad from the getgo and no one had ever been able to match the Reapers might and score a victory, but Shepard comes along to possibly change that. Shepard inspired hope in races that at first didn't care for/ trust humanity.

Now these same races are behind Shepard, he/she gave them hope of a better future where Reapers would not be a problem. Yes there would be sacrifices and many friends and comrades would lose their lives, but at the end of it all they found a way.

Le's not even mention (which i kinda am doing now^_^) that shepard put an alliance between Turian and Krogan, peace with Geth and Quarian. Even the Batarians played a part.

So you get all these races helping each other to achieve one ultimate goal. Sounds hopeful right? Everything Shepard was/had done lead to that point. No one knew how it would end for each other but the goal was clear STOP THE REAPERS no matter what, so that other could go on living and have hope for the future.

As you said it was all about overcoming impossible odds and despite the heavy losses thst would come from it hope would survive, and in the end would bring these vastly diffrent races closer together. Which to me was a very powerful theme. Seeting aside our diffrences to fight for our very lives and in the end realizing that we are diffrent in appearance and DNA but one in the same through other means.

That would of been great to see.  Sadly,  no such luck... no luck at all.

Guess they're working hard...I hope they are putting in a lot of effort and taking our opinions in consideration more than their "artistic integrity" for this extended cutscene...

I'm not a violent person by nature but I'm starting to feel the desire to throttle that man occassionally. Thankfully it will pass.

There's nothing in that tweet to indicate that they're only just starting work on it now. Trust me this is probably just one of many many many many meetings that have been taking place.

Someone with Twitter should ask Gamble to refute or confirm EDI and the Geth Surviving the destroy ending.

Even if it's not true, I doubt they'll actually refute it. All their twitter accounts are good for is ambiguous nonsense.
