Thank you.

Sometimes I get the urge to go all philosphical, particularly when someone is feeling down, and produce long-winded feel-good rants such as this.

It's a curse. ^_^

LOL I'm just the opposite, I have to actually carefully consider my rants to make sure they aren't to negative.  However, I do understand the curse :whistle:

As I've said too many times to count, I wasn't very happy with the ending(s) either.

I'm not swallowing anything, I'm simply upset at some of the ridiculous, unfounded complains about the ending. All I've ever called for is constructive criticism instead of rage. That's all.

No rage here. But we didn't make unfounded complaints, nor impossible demands. We made a point. It is: you can't release unfinished, half-baked, or crappy ending stuff, and get away with it. Not without some noise.

Take for example one of the interviews we've read, from one top person in BW. He said he got angry with the fan's reactions. What? Now this is "entitlement"! The same thing we were accused of. What did they expect? "We hated the endings, but it's ok. We love you guys and will keep buying your games however they are released?". Talk about entitlement.

There were no crazy demands here. It was just to let the game company (or companies) know that we deserved better as paying customers. It's not about endings that some didn't like. It was about bad endings. Period.

There's a couple of guys saying: "what? We understood. And we are pushing it to explain how deep it is". It's not. It's the definition of shallow. They just want to look smart and different. Or they don't care and don't want to look silly. But those edings are beyond defense.

There's nothing wrong with what we are doing. We talked, we suggested, and we interacted.

And one other thing. No "rage thread", no "baby crying thread" lasts that long. Those die out because complaining just for the sake of it is not fun after a day or two. The only reason this thread (or any other we would meet again) lasts so long, is because people here genuinely care. And we are trying hard for something we loved. And that we know could have been so much better. And we want to let them know that we think they can still make amends and the game is still salvageable.

I'm not taking your post as negative or 'being mean'. Calm discussion is healthy. However, to address your point, I've said time and time again that I'm not completely happy with the ending either, I would've liked more closure, more explanation. However, I both try to keep my opinions constructive and also have become almost as outraged at the flood of sh*t talk on Bioware as those that made insane comments on how terrible the ending was.

You're in the wrong thread, broseph. There's no hate here. We're upset, we're let down, we want better.  We need help to get through this. We're more like AA than a seething cauldron of hatred and bitterness.

I was about to say that.
We are really civil here; we're literally sitting around listening to people talk about how they felt about the ending, and why. We are not planning any rebellion/riot, we are not bashing anyone...we actually love the game and support Bioware; we just think the ending wasn't up to Bioware standards and they are addressing it.

You didn't love the ending, neither did we. We are being constructive and so are you, so...why are we even talking about this?

And for that I apologize. I've been through so many threads that are doing nothing but bashing that, if I was wrong, an apology from me is needed.

We wouldn't have gotten to 3500 pages without being mostly civil, we'd have been locked down a long time ago.

So, what'd you like about the ending, and what didn't you like?

I don't have the time to read all three THOUSAND pages of this thread but as far as the topic goes..... no, no you can't get the ending you want because every single person that has invested enough in Mass Effect that they are this upset about the ending has a different idea about how they want it to end. (I'm sure my ideal ending differs from yours.)

As I said in another thread, how about at the end the screen simply goes black and they open a text file for you to write your own ending. It seems, by the way most people talk, that this solution would be preferred. :pinched:

I want an ending where the decisions I've made up to this point matter. Like I was promised.

Your decisions in past games did. Whether it was as minor as starting with more money or seeing more cameos or as major as some characters not being present at all because you weren't able to save them all. This also counts for the decisions you make in ME3. Choosing to save or kill a character or race has major reprocusions.

Sorry, to reply to this so late, but this makes me lol. No, nothing had major reprucussions. At best they were completely minor, and at worst they meant completely nothing.

S'cool man, he mistook us for one of THOSE threads. We've politely explained that we are all about politically correct politeness up in this thread.

As much as we love to make fun of the :alien::wizard:

Edit: You think if we start a petition, we can get Bioware to do a smiley where it's the alien face with the wizard hat & wand? >.>

Haha, s'ok... go back 5 or so generations and I'm related to the first prime minister of Canada... mind you, besides being the first PM, his biggest claim to fame was being such a drunkard that he threw up on his podium during a campaign speech... and still got elected. :innocent:

I am still upset that we could not have our "Suicide Mission" team from ME2 join us. I could accept if they just appeared for about five levels, and disappeared untill the endgame, however, to have them appear and disappear quickly was, dare I say, lazy<_<

No decision made in a past game or even in this game affects the RGB ending.  Only your EMS has some effect on it, but it's still the same three cinematics with different colors.  The end.

It is very boring, but useful to find out what house you would be in, because the sorting quiz was made by JK Rowling herself, and she said it is the closest thing to a real sorting hat...

I'm kinda on the fence using the term lazy... most of the game developers work like 2 days of work for every 1 day I do haha.. when it gets down to crunch they do like 15-17 hour days and stuff...

I DO think it was a lousy business decision at best, poor project management at worst.

But they've heard our complaints, we're just sitting on the line hoping they fix it and we can all go home.. though I gotta admit I was hoping to at least fire ONE diseased husk over the wall... I mean why else do we have a medieval catapult on a 22nd century seige line? :police:

WB for about an hour ;)

Just a discussion with someone who thought we were one of 'those' threads, and we discussed it and now he knows we aren't one of 'those' threads :)

But they needed more time to organize the Run In Circles missions on the multiplayer maps!

I like how most of the appearances were handled though. Especially the plot-important ones. Though I got all upset when the game offered to give me JACOB of all people. Talk about the LAST ME2 character I ever wanted to see again. His character is that he HAS NO CHARACTER. Also the last guy I wanted on the main floor of the ship, not exactly top of my list for between mission chit-chats.
