Why hello there, Phoenix. How have you been? *HUG ATTACK!*

Yes, I stole Kyria's line.

No, I don't care.

I prefer the word "convince" as opposed to "force"

They are one and the same. Each of us tells ourselves a story to make is sleep good at night. I'm a pragmatic so I see them the same.

We "convince" them by withholding money in order to "force" them to wake the fudge up.

We "force" ourselfs to withhold our wallets to "convince" them to wake the fudge up.

Potatos... potatoes.

Morning Phoenix
Got to love this comment...

Well, due to ceaseless whining Bioware has
officially released a comment saying that the ending will be fixed. Ok,
now that the fans are the writers and the devs are just there to be
there; I guess we all need to jump on our computers and start doing
Bioware's job. Grow up people. DLC is still to come. Instead of crying,
wait until they fully flesh out the story. Since when did Mass Effect
end when the games came out? Instead of wetting your pants and screaming
like a baby; have patience.

That's 65'000 ceaseless whinings to you sir!
The developers asked for feedback, that's precisely what they got, I certainly don't remember them saying you can only give positive feedback, but if Bioware really did feel so strongly about the ending and we are just whiney little brats, then exactly why are Bioware addressing the feedback? oh that's right, they gotta eat.

These people are also forgetting that BioWare have always been proud of their relationship with their fans. If they hadn't been getting constructive criticism and it was merely whining they would not have responded with a new dlc.

The comments section is entertaining as usual...

Everytime I hear "dlc will bring closure" I die a bit more inside.

Closure, character focus, narrative conhesion, plot holes... should I keep going?

Bringing closure to our friends is just a part of a BIG AZZ PIE...

sigh my pessimistic side is taking over my pragmatic one.

Looking forward to Ghost Recon... lets see if that wont be the third dissapointment after SR3 and ME3...

Things are okay. I got my modest tax return and have to keep reminding myself to NOT buy the shiny things I see online and/or in the store. Other than that, just waiting to hear back to see if I got the job I interviewed for on Wednesday.

Not to blow one's own trumpet, but this calls for a repost:

We won't get the endings we want or truly deserve, BioWare has sold us out, Hudson has sold us out and Walters has sold us out. They've joined the tendentious corporate machine which has evolved from within the industry as seen with Electronic Arts, Activision and Lucas Arts. The gamers only matter in terms of fiscal intake, until they lose out of the almighty dollar they'll not understand. Sad to imagine the day would come when fellow gaming geeks would sell their fellow gamers out for a profit - and soon the evolution of gaming will change because people are getting fed up with paying top dollar for rushed, gutted and overall lacking games. Personally I'd rather pay top dollar for a well developed console game then to play a cheap five dollar multiplayer online game with ****** poor graphics, but such games will continue to get more popular as more and more games are found lacking regarding the final product

The negative emotions, anger, dispair, hatred, are the easiest to lapse into at times such as these. But they only serve to dissuade recovery, to hinder progress, and to snuff out potential efforts at reestablishing what we as gamers—and people—need and desire. It's easy to wallow around in an ocean of self-pity, feeling as though the world is out to get us or only sees us as mere chattel, a magpie with a wallet mounted on its back. And therein lies the path to self-destruction, no matter the event, no matter the cause.

Humans are social creatures, we build movements and monuments together or not at all. As social beings, we respond more readily to positive emotions: love, compassion, empathy, and togetherness. Some of our most successful efforts as a species arose from a shared will to do what until then could not be done, to make the impossible possible, and to come together in times of crisis in order to rebuild and reestablish ourselves anew. Goodness is a reflection of progress, and when we all collaborate constructively to bring about something which could not be done by any one person, or even a small group of people, we rightfully feel proud of what we have accomplished.

Our movement, as embodied by the posts and people within this thread who have come together to express their feelings, is a testament to what can be achieved when large numbers of like-minded people come together and put their collective efforts into pushing for positive change. It is easy to be pessemistic about what our labours have produced thus far: the Extended Cut DLC; I for one am somewhat ambivalent about it, but within that is sprinkled a few bits of optimism. In a sense our movement has already won, and yet there may well be much larger battles on the horizon. The movement is in a state of flux; we're waiting for the hammer to fall. It is easy to lose oneself in negativity when the only option we have, aside from voicing our concerns, is to wait.

Don't give in. Don't give up. Hold the line.

Me too. Ghost Recon looks pretty sweet. Also looking forward to Prey 2, Tomb Raider, and Metro: Last Light (though Prey 2 looks like it might come out next year).

Also I've got my fingers crossed for STALKER 2. Hopefully that doesn't end up as vaporware from a failed developer.

So uh, what RPG's are coming out this year? Other than the Witcher 2 (which I already own).

Thank you, all.

With that, it's time for me to bow out and succumb to the sleepytime fairy. Hugs and handshakes all around; though I'm not a major player, it's an honour to be on this team.

You guys are so right with what you are saying... the only thing counts more and more is the money.... nobody really cares if the game is rushed or not well developed.. as long it brings enough money.. and they tend to make 1 game.. millions of sequels... second game.. millions of sequels.. instead to make a real good second game... (good example here is Assassins Creed).
