I don't either. I caught snakes all the time and kept them in that same fish tank as before. It is a little different when you are 5 and sit on the sofa and hear a rattler go off.Phoenix NL wrote...

Not as bad as the time the rattlesnake got in the sofa, freaky.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Very true, but then that's also the self-preservation instinct. We might not have a problem with them but there are definitely ones you don't screw around with!Dj14365 wrote...

One of my favourite things about Canada is the fact we don't have any spiders that can eat you up here... I don't think we have many venemous species at all... the largest one I ever saw was an aggressive dock spider and it's not venemous, just... big, hairy and angry lol.

My dad keeps saying I should stop being a nancy boy and catch spiders in my hand, apparently they calm down in the dark but I really don't want to grab something with eight hairy legs just to test that out

Yep right there with you. My hubby gets the spiders and I deal with anything else our cats drag into the house.Fallenfromthesky wrote...

This is quite true, I don't like snakes, but I'm not really afraid of them, I more respect them.Phoenix NL wrote...

I remember when I was 15/16 we were camping and whitewater rafting on the Rio Grande in Texas. While we were camping, the night we arrived, we were all out swimming in the river where we were camped. My dad's friend had brought his kids with him as well, and had a daughter about 8/9 years old. She was out in an innertube floating and we were all swimming, when someone sees what appears to be a water mochasin. We all get out of the water, but this girl, who is in the innertube in the middle of the river with this snake floating it's way her direction. I remember taking a flying dive over the snake trying to get the girl out of the river. Looking back on it, I realized that first it was extremely stupid, and second, I'm willing to bet my dad was wrong in his appraisal of the snake and it wasn't a water mochasin. Still it was scary.

HA HA HA my nefarious plan is working. If enough people are distracted by spider talk I will be able to steal the priceless art works at least once I get past the Integrity forcefield.

Beacuse apparently your not smart enough to get them and need it explained through either space magic or an extenstion. See I talk topic if I have to. Still spiders are better than the Mass Effect 3 ending

We've got pit vipers in some of the warmer parts, where I live we hit like -40 in the winter so anything that may have been here in our +40C/+105F summers probably wouldn't survive in most parts.. Last place I saw a rattler was living outside of Tampa, Florida haha.

Not envying you guys.
Not really, we get really small ones and the occasional not-small one. They're still at the mercy of any object with a mass of more than one pound. I have yet in my life to even see a spider that is larger in diameter than the circle produced when my thumb and index finger are put together (in the "OK" sign). What you really want to worry about is bees and wasps, those little buggers just don't leave you alone and I swear to god they keep getting bigger...

and then today my account was suspended "due to repeated harassment bleh bleh bleh TOS stuff blah blah blah etc etc etc" in my email so yyyyeah i am really frigging pissed off

Biggest here are dock spiders, bout the size of your hand and hairy, and usually aggressive... but the're not venemous, but when you're barefoot on a dock and one comes over the edge you don't really stop to debate that fact haha.

Don't forget the hornets, vicious little "£$%"£*s. I remember a few summers ago we had a wasp nest in the roof and when i got into bed it turned out that two wasps had somehow managed to end up under the duvet and stung my legs really badly. Thankfully I'm not allergic I just ended up looking like I had developed elephantitis for a few days. My family was very supportive by laughing hysterically.GroverA125 wrote...
