So we can't get the ending we want after all?

To an extent yes but you don't have the same amount of choice with regards to character creation etc if you see what I mean.[/quote]
I can't even pick the character's gender...so no, not good enough

I think that eventually they'll let us have complete character customization

They should've done that from the beginning. Dude, even Pokemon Crystal on Gameboy Color lets you pick your gender. <_<

Impale themselfs?! lolBigglesFlysAgain wrote...
I really think if the extended cut is as badly revived as the endings were, they will just have to write things off and maybe cut down the amount of other DLC they were going to do. There won't be an extended extended cut no matter how many people self immolate and impale themselves on railings outside their offices. It will be take it or leave it, and it will probably be divisive down the happy ending vs ending that makes sense lines, whether its intentional or not.
I'm trying to imagine someone impaling himself because he didn't liked the ending of a game. xD

To dismiss the Witcher games based on that alone is sad really. At least it has more than 1 ending

Well, The Witcher is based on a book so there's not much customization^_^ But I agree with you...

Well, I have seen one too many people trapped in their crates before they went up...
Not really, but character aside, we can't do much more at this point than show them we still care about things.

Sorry? Haha. I can't stand playing as a male character; that's just how I am. Blame Pokemon for introducing me to the awesomeness that is to play a character that you can give your own name and pick your gender.

Very true. A lot of people paint us in a bad light but really BioWare should be amazed at how loyal and committed their fanbase is. I certainly wouldn't have bothered if it was Ubisoft or Capcom.BigglesFlysAgain wrote...

I have read the books, and you are correct, Geralt is the main character focused on in the books, and the games continue and expand upon his story.

I was a little worried about that aspect of the game too - playing a predefined character, but I give all props to CDPR - Despite Geralt's iconic look, and gender, I still feel like he's 'my' Geralt. There are parts of TW2 that I haven't been in love with - OMG Kayran, WTF?! - and the way it feels almost open-world even though it isn't, talk about running all over god's green, but those things are so freakin' minor... I'm absolutely glad I spent sixty bucks on the port, I'm already playing a second game, and I'm hoping if TW3 happens, they port it as well - unless it doesn't come out for another couple of years, in which case, hopefully I'll have a proper pc to play it on

No!!!3 of the listed games are leech efforts off others work
NWN 2's main campaign was way better than NWN 1. NWN 1's replay value was in the mods and the nwvault (ok NWN2 has tons of mods too, but I did not bother to wait for it to load the mods I wanted to try. It took too much time to do anything on my PC.).
Alpha Protocol has the "Mass Effect wheel", but the rest isn't a leech effort. It was very good depsite it's flaws.
