Notice how they portrayed drinking in this one. It doesn't give the nice effect, you just wake up next to someone who looks down on you, the deception and hate palpable in their eyes... They even cut the fun of getting drunk :crying:

I just woke up lying down beside Aria every time. Not sure why that is, or what it implies.

Haha really? Maybe i drank too much, but i saw 3 spawn points : The one next to Aria (awesome though ); one in an elevator where a Salarian looks at you for a few seconds and just walks away, and one where i think you wake up in the cargo bay, on some boxes, where a few batarians laugh at you. Not sure about it though. Shep, hero of the galaxy, local UPS guy and certified drunk of the citadel!

Shepard needs to get money for all those upgrades somehow

Sooo, I'm back to my dorm and I'm havig fun reading 2 chan over here...

Apparently some western writer said that Final Fantasy isn't a real RPG, so now they(Japanese fans on 2chan) are saying ME isn't a real RPG either...and that they should stop saying ME is art, because before it's art, it's entertainment...

I remember the one and only time I played a Final Fantasy game. I looked at the protagonist, and he looked like a 12 year old girl. Then I got to the combat after like a 3 hour cutscene, and I was like," Wait a minute, my enemy is waiting for me to hit him so he can hit back?!"

After that I realized FF was not my kind of game.

I'm guessing that was... 12? >.>

You know, FF wasn't ALWAYS like that. I'm of the mind that 6 was the best, 4 & 7 were pretty awesome, still liked 1, 8, and 9 (actually, you could be talking about 9. Was all this happening on an airship? :?), 10 was tolerable, and the rest were crap. Some of it was irredeemable crap. Suffice to say, I feel like RPGs peaked out around the time of the SNES / PS1.

*Deep strikes in via location beacon left in thread wearing Terminator armor*

Just wrote a 10 page paper comparing the ethical theories of Rule Utilitarianism and Kantianism. My brain is fried, so I pulled out the Terminator armor to help hold the line.

I'm pretty sure it was 9. I couldn't take it, RPG's are basically all I play now, but back then JRPG's almost killed it for me. They just aren't my style. I wasn't much of a gamer until I got to highschool back in the late 90's, so I actually just missed the good FF games. Now I just have no desire to go back and experience them.

Feel your pain man. Sadly, I always used ME as an example of how you do a good RPG. I mean, even ME3 still holds true to the role playing elements I love, but that ending man...

Someone mined to code and found that a specific check is only made in the destroy ending that isn't related to cutscenes.

You can still use Dragon Age Origins as an example of how an RPG should be done. It's full of the usual cliches and everything! Maybe a little too grimdark at times, but that's forgivable.

I wish all games would focus on characters and story like DAO and ME does. Gameplay could absolutely blow, but if the characters are interesting and the story is good, I'll play it.

I still reminisce about Bard's Tale 2. The gameplay wasn't great, but the story was so funny and the characters were interesting enough I couldn't put it down. And the very first quest was big rats in a cellar, and they made fun of it soo bad. I loved it.

It happens from time to time, if people are asleep or there is nothing significant to say. Don't worry about letting it go. There are enough regulars for it to get bumped up again sooner or later.

I feel I should add something relevant here. Errrm.

In all honesty, as the days go on and I don't go near Mass Effect, it's getting dishearteningly easier to stop caring. Just like that. No rage-quitting. Just fading into a memory, and a soured one at that. Absolutely the worst way to go out for a trilogy that for me was well on par maybe a good 90% of the time.

I am curious, has anyone been able to figure out what it's for yet?

I wouldn't be surprised if half of what we get in the Extended Cut DLC is stuff that was dummied out of the original release. In fact, it's probably the only way we'll get what we're hoping for by their supposed summer release schedule.

Can't say I blame them for that, really.

Of course the EC will be stuff that should've been in the original release, all the DLCs nowadays are that!
