Finland is enjoying some untypical spring weather: sunshine and balmy +14 C instead of the usual rain/snow mix with wind and +3 C. B)

Only downside is this damned pollen, nothing like being allergic to it, except maybe being allergic to it and liking to run as well.

I'll take the sunshine and those temperatures! It was +5 C this morning made all the nicer with yet another downpour of rain.

Only if you're willing to take all the pollen from this moment all the way until September. And it'd still be a bargain for you

I'm not allergic to it so bring it on!

Lucky. I can't even begin to describe how annoying it is to be allergic to it. The constant sneezing, swollen eyes, the fact that everytime you do anything even resembling aerobic excersize, the breathing becomes hard...

(you are now breathing manually!)

I'll be back in a moment, have to hit the shower and then start the JOY of memorising literature <_<

It's still open to speculation because high EMS gives the breath scene after selecting destroy, I'm with Jeremy Jahns on this one, that's not Shepard living, that's the developers not committing.

Or as they said at PAX, they wanted it to be open to personal interpretation......

I have plenty of personal interpretations for that. None of them are printable. <_<

Smart move, it would've been Wordsworth for you. Or maybe some incoherent ramblings I'm typing to my "learning report" for the working life and other lies course...

Doesn't mean it wasn't a noncommittal gesture. I think it was supposed to serve as an attempt to quell the obvious "OMG Shepard has to die!" outrage that was obviously going to stem from the ending. That if you worked hard enough, it was possible that she didn't. There's more than one reason why that didn't work. Personally, that breath scene ending is the one I got the time I played it, and it served only to make me more angry about the whole thing.

So I guess it was supposed to be up for interpretation, as was everything else in the ending. That's part of the reason why everything fell flat.

As a scene and nothing more, I actually liked the breathing. Then again, given the context it's just stupid... but what really made me angry was the abominable "buy our DLC" message right after the ending had destroyed all the joy I had ever gained from playing the enitre series. That wasn't even low blow, that was something you do to a person after you've already struck them down and they're lying helpless on the ground <_<

See, the breathing scene is the only thing that gave me a little hope...but then you can't get it without multiplayer, so never mind that <_<   (Bioware, hurry up and fix the EMS problems)

When I saw the data pad, I thought it was a joke. I was waiting for a full epilogue (like in DA games) and got a "Shepard is a hero. Buy DLC" message...:crying:

Agreed, that message should have been pushed at the menu screen.
Instead it comes across as "Shepard might be alive or dead, purchase our DLC to find out"; what an epic end to a trilogy and a hero /sarcasm.

Well, as a scene and nothing more, it's just 5 seconds of nothingness, isn't it? lol.

But yeah, it's the context of it that makes it stupid. They simply tried to sneak it into the only option where you don't physically witness Shepard disintegrating. Given the context of what just happened though, it makes zero sense. Hence the crazy fan speculation and fan theories based around it.

It probably pissed me off because after everything that happened, my thought was "don't even try that **** now." But given the pure outrage about the ending that they "couldn't have anticipated", they're going to give that scene it's own context. It's own stupid new context. Where they will expand those 5 seconds into its own happy ending. I cannot stand this idea, which I think has been clear from my previous posts, lol.

As for the "buy our DLC" message, well that was the moment the ending completely sunk in. After reading that message, I knew I didn't have to go on the internet to see what I did wrong, because at that moment I realized I had been given what they intended. So rage ensued.

To me it felt more like "ok, the story is at end, but if you want to hear how Shepard did Hacket's laundry, you can, for the low, low price of 10 Euros!"

I also hate the stargazer part. Additional "storytelling" works when it is integrated to the story from the very beginning, like in DA ][, but unless I missed something, ME was always "this is really happening right now" kind of game.

Yep, agreed.  "Cheap Bioware Non-Pertinent Ending Epilogue" that was. They've done it before, so it's no surprise. I just wish they'd gotten away from that kiddie-college literary device, but I was disappointed..epically.  I hope they can fix it, but don't expect them to be able to. They just don't have the "vision" for it, nor the "integrity". 'Tis a real downer. :(
