Ok, here's the thing with Gamble's idea

"There is no concept of machine or organic anymore. There is only life."

Yes, but life that was decided for them. They aren't given a choice to choose this for themselves, one person makes the choice for everyone. That one person being Shepard.

Rewind 5 minutes ago, TIM talking about controlling the reapers. Shepard says, "No one should have that power. We aren't ready for it." So if he thinks just controlling reapers is too much power, I would be pretty sure changing everyone in the galaxy against their will is worse. So five minutes later, he decides ok I'm ready for it, I should have that power. Forget everything I've said and done for the last 3 years, Diversity isn't that important after all....

It isn't much different from what the Protheans did. They went from world to world, and made everyone be Protheans against their will, if they fought they died. Not very moral or ethical, so taking away their choice to fight is better, because they wouldn't know any better?

That logic is flawed.

Nothing against Gamble, he can have a favorite choice, but man, if he's giving input for the endings, he needs to see the reasoning behind that choice and why it's so messed up.

Yes edi is alive.

If you answered like that (which I would) his reasoning is useless.

Not sure what he was talking about, didn't see anything attacking him myself, unless they're monitoring here and realizing that we didn't appreciate the fact they're still breaking all the rules they set for themselves haha.

Previous page (3645) a made a post explaining why synthesis doesn't grant peace or miracilous solution if you are intrested.

To make it short, it's because wars and confilct doesn't come from DNA, it come from perspective, motive, intrest.
The only thing synthesis give, is that the next time synthetic try to kill organics, it will be for another reason than "because you are organis and i'm synthetic, i have to kill you".

No I wouldn't say alls forgiven - They took a major risk - they attempted to indoctrinate not just Shepard; but honestly they attempted to indoctrinate US the fans - to make choices we wouldn't consider normally - to get speculation - debate going.....

That part worked - they knew they'd have people hating - but they thought they'd also have enough time to finish out the real endings - partly because of the leaks.......partly because of time; EA is known for extremely tight deadlines....

Honestly if BW came clean and said they tried to do this - most fans would be ok - there would still be some ticked off - but honest communication that's what people want.  Thing is EA doesn't appologise for doing things - They did in the past - but not now with who's running the company.  EA won't let BW - yet the fastest way to actually resolve a lot of these issues is if they would communicate with their customers......

Its been extremely fun to watch this unfold - we've changed the rules of PR - and hopefully gaming in general.....for the better

So ... they attempted to indoctrinate the playerbase by intentionally releasing an unfinished product because they couldn't finish it in time? If they were planning to release the real endings later on, what do tight deadlines for the base game have to do with it? I take issue with the blanket label of them trying to "indoctrinate" us, by the way ... as I understand it an indoctrinated subject is supposed to be doing your will, not taking up the proverbial flame and pitchfork at your gate. We are speculating I suppose, but not the way they intended!

Anyway, I don't know much about EA but what I do know about them isn't pleasant, so you're probably right on that one, and I'm glad you've at least enjoyed watching this play out. It'll be interesting for sure to see what kind of lasting effects if any this is going to have. When you say we're hopefully changing the rules of gaming though -- what rules are those? That you shouldn't release an unfinished game?

Because pointing out that there's actually something wrong with the ending deeply offends him. And some people wonder why others think there's no hope that they're going to fix anything. When this is all we continuously get from them, how do we accept the idea that they're even entertaining real change?

Well we already know they aren't entertaining real change, they are "clarifying" what we already have.
But I agree, it seems that whenever we point out the things that are wrong, we get tweets and such saying that we are attacking them. When we aren't.

I read that, and I agree. The statements Gamble made, and in turn what the game itself said, is incredibly simplistic. With his quote he basically insinuated that the root of all problems and conflicts boils down to organics vs synthetics, and that the removal of this basically neutralizes all those problems. Sometimes I wonder if they can even hear themselves talk.

exactly the bolded part, Jessica has a bunch of tweets recently answering questions on that saying no change(same choices etc) just clarifying pretty much, and i also agree with everything else here lol

You can't really blame them for feeling defensive when people point out flaws in this massive, hugely anticipated project they were working on for two years. That said, there's no cause to call it "attacking" when it's genuine criticism, and since they're selling their work for money ... won't take away the instinct to feel defensive, but it means they have to be honestly open to listening to this stuff.

I've had minimal expectations regarding the extended cut for a while now. I was extremely upset by the announcement of it, and my tone hasn't changed at all. They haven't been listening, and I feel it's naive to think they'll start now.

And re: Twitter attacks

Gamble: Synthesis is the best
Us: How? Why?
Gamble: Quit giving me the ninth degree here. I'm out.

Honestly, they've been getting a ton of negative feedback since release. If Gamble read a Twitter response and it felt like an attack to him... well, the guy is human after all. The fact he's willing to respond to fans at all is pretty awesome.

Also, I'm going to purely speculate and say it might have had something to do with the racism tweet. Not an attack per say, but probably a cue to drop the discussion.
