this doesn't sound promising. So completely going against Shepard's character and siding with the Illusive Man after fighting him for 30 hours, or changing every individual's dna against their will is better than destroy to him.
What the @#*$? This is BUL*SH!T! Synthesis goes against EVERYTHING! And it's the most stupid thing ever... Oh god...
Coffee still trying to kick in, morning/afternoon/evening to all.
It's an opinion, some people do actually believe that the mergin of organic and machine is the ultimate evolution, the singularity, and maybe that is true, but it should be decided by evolution not by one wo/man.
If we take things on face value then I would still personally choose destroy, I would rather take out an entire synthetic race than impose my will upon an entire galaxy.
For me it's Control or Destroy. Control just because I really don't give a damn about enslaving the Reapers and the ending as presented just doesn't engender deep thought. By that I mean everything is apparently destroyed and everyone dead so it doesn't really matter if the Reaper cycle is broken, all I cared about is gone. I don't really care if the next cycle gets reaped, I didn't fight for them. They are a faceless, nameless, meaningless mob to me.
Destroy I would choose but only with several caveats: 1) That any and all state sponsored racism toward synthetics is completely and irrevocably abolished, 2) that the geth are written into the history books as the heros of the Reaper War for their sacrifice, and 3) monuments to the geth are built on every homeworld and every station to remind people of what synthetics did for them.
Because I can't abide by slaughtering an entire species/form of life and NOT taking steps to ensure their sacrifice means something. That people are forced to change their opinions, that something GOOD comes of it.
