Now is everyone on here joining the On/Off campaign or am I going to be a lonely soldier being the only one who doesn't. I just dont see the point in further action until the EC is released.

Not to say I think this new thing is bad but surley we can get a similar message across to BW by remaining here and keeping threads like this alive.

I will not be participating either; I personally believe we should stay active on the forums but not be pulling any publicity stunts like this until after we know more about the EC DLC.  I also think that the on/off campaign will do more harm than good for the Retake movement.

Why?

1) The on/off campaign is going to serve as a way of dividing the Retake movement; those who support the campaign and those who don't.  I remember seeing posts about "If we don't participate, the entire movement will fail," which will turn into blame for those who didn't participate when the numbers are smaller than the campaign hoped.
2) The on/off campaign paints the Retake movement as selfish, whiney, brats.  As consumers, we complained of an inferior product.  As the game maker, EA/BioWare has said they will fix it.  As consumers, we should wait to see how they are going to fix it.  If they are fixing it with spit and duct tape, then yeah, we act.  I see no value in "protesting" something that may very well be exactly what we want.  Protesting further makes us look like spoiled children screaming "gimme gimme."
3) I believe any action other than "wait and see" until we have more information will erode our moral high ground.  EA does not need any more reminders of what is at stake; I guarantee you they know.

Perception is everything.  If we are perceived to be spoiled children, we will be treated as such.  If we want to be treated as responsible consumers, we need to act responsibly.

I apologize to anyone who disagrees with me; I do not wish to start a conflict nor do I want to divide us.  I am merely stating my opinion on the matter.

I do not beleave that Bioware cares about what we are doing in this thread. There is so much off topic going on right now, that it would have been closed already, wouldn't it.

I've got nothing else to play and TF2 has got boring.

I may finish up my Vanguard run in ME2 and import him to the horrors of ME3.

I just wish it was May 15th already.

I think the reason that this thread hasn't been closed is because of the volume of traffic and support it holds. As for the off-topic stuff we know why we are here but we are waiting for more information and the EC before ME debates begin anew

They do care, hence why we've had mods turn up when it's gotten a little bit out of control. When we're not causing trouble they leave us alone.

That's a false article

Weekes has already come out and said he never said any of that. I tend to believe him.

Not totally correct, all we have is priestly saying Weekes said he denied it, vs. quite a bit of evidence which supports the post genuinely came from Weekes.

I don't blame Patrick for supposedly denying it as he would probably have been fired.

I was going to, but it's become my considered opinion that Retake while maintaining a clear voice should do passively, one blogger has already likened the latest plan to Guy Fawkes, not a good thing.

There is only 1 thing I have a problem with this campaign and that's asking ppl to twitter EA/Bioware.  The play one day and not the other doesn't bother me as I'm not playing ME3 anyway and at the mo don't even want to take it out of the box.  Not logging into forum for a day, sure I've now d/l Witcher 1 and have both games and also taking part in GW2 beta test so missing one day isn't going to be so bad, just means a lot of reading the next day.

There's isn't proof in that article though. The screenshot of the conversation that supposedly cements it, doesn't say anywhere what they are attributing to Weekes. Nowhere does it say that he had nothing to do with it, and it was All Hudson and Walters. All it says is he agreed to answer some questions, but he doesn't want to get fired, and he doesn't want anyone else getting in trouble.

If the screenshot that they had as evidence actually said all the things they are quoting him as saying, then i might believe it, but it doesn't.

And Weekes has come out and said on twitter that he never wrote that. As it stands, no one can show me evidence he did, just very loose references to it, which honestly could be referencing anything. So until someone with this supposed screenshot showing the actual post comes and uploads it, it's all heresay.
