Yeah we should have just said to heck with the Catalyst and gone back to Earth and kicked Reaper arse the old fashioned way, by kicking their arses.

i will have some of this, we could choose whether to use what we collect for the citadel or put it all into a fight with the reapers.

edit; spelling.

When I discovered they had added a reaper off button, I wanted the option to sabotage it, I would not care if it were a renegade choice, I wanted an all out desperate battle with the Reapers, there is just something more satisfying about blasting them to bits after all the torture they put organics through, I don't want to shut them off, that's too easy for them.

I wanted an epic battle and I wanted the Normandy to come out cannons blasting and showing the Reapers why she's the best ship in the Alliance fleet!

Most defintely, a stand off between the Nornandy and Harbinger, Harbinger mocks "Your efforts are futile, you cannot hope to defeat me!"; Joker goes "Oh yeah?, meet my new friends"; then a few cruisers drop out of FTL firing on Harby

Actualy I thought joker firing the last shot at soverign was a bit corney tbh... Each to their own though, tis very useful multirole frigate but not the most powerful ship.

the tech it was upgraded with in me2 are not on most ships. its faster, more manuvrable, got better shields and a powerfull thanix cannon(other ships have t.c but not all) it stood up to a collector ship when no other vessel could. this for me makes it the best ship in the fleet. just my opinion.

Well one on one I am sure it could take on any ship, but in a fleet action its prowess is less usefull... I am not averse to the Normandy I just feel it should have a certain role in the battle becuase it is needed rather than it would be cool to see it do that. I can't quite remember my point now, anyway lol

Whats the rest of the campaign forums like? I only go on this thread and my favorite character discussion threads these days. I can't bear the thought of random anger, or posting in a discussion that might not go anywhere (lol I know about this thread), or last for very long

I don't know, I'm doing the same as you and sticking to a couple of threads where I know there won't be outbursts of anger and underbridging!

i do get what your saying, in fleet engaments frigs are used to break the line of capital ships and they work in squadrons. seeing the nomandy lead a mixed race of frigs against a line of sov class reapers taking a few down would have been good.

That would have been so awesome. I have no idea why Bioware didn't think of putting that in, it's just sad...

Even if the extended cut blows our minds:O or brings tears to our eyes or just makes us go well duh...  :huh:It WILL be an anticlimax after all the months of waiting and "Speculationing"... We will need a new cause to nerdrage about :crying:. And that cause for me won't be bioware fix the extended cut or change the ending completely (if it dissapoints) becuase at that point there is no hope... Maybe I will become a LoTR fan so I can hate the hobbit part 1 when it comes out.

The only thing I want to see is maybe some more Normandy class (SR1) frigates, that would be cool

Forgeting that, maybe a human ship that is not just a copy and pasted 'ol white and blue cruiser lol

The codex in ME3 sugests that a lot of the ships have thanix cannon. I remember the codex on the Salarian fleet stateing that all their ships have thanix cannon. The human fleet codex's also imply that the fighters have thanix cannon as well.

I'm all for a bitter-sweet ending, but not if it ruins all our time and hard work throughout all 3 games... I've played multiple times with different character types to get different weapons, game-play and endings so I would just expect a half decent ending...
I don't care if my squad is trapped on the planet if 2 things happened; I'm there (some how)...
OR
They find some forgotten home of a previous race like the Inusannon or some race from that time.

At least it would leave it for a possible 4th ME game. Then maybe they could salvage their honor by making a better ME4.<_<

sadly thats how humans do things, we mass produce the cheapest option. the normandy price could build a lot more of them pasted 'ol white and blue cruisers. but yes a squadron of SR1's led by the normandy 2 would have been good as well, so many ways bioware could have gone, but as we al know they went..........Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

With thanix cannon I would say it is possible to beat the reapers in a stright up fight. I say this because weapons and defenses often are kept up to par with one another. So when a new weapon advance comes around to breach a defense, soon after a new defense to counter it comes about. This aspect of weapons development has been seen thoughout human history. Since the thanix cannon was developed from reaper tech, I would say its safe to assume that the reapers defenses wont last long aginst them.
