That's kinda why all the arguments about the endings seem somewhat odd to me.
It shouldn't be about knowing the endings first then playing in such away that results in the ending you want.
The end to dramatic events arn't always happy and not always the way we wish it could be, in that regard bioware have got it dead on, whether we like it or not that's the way things end up alot of the time and I can accept that.

I'm actually happy I found out. This way I won't be repeating the game time and time again for an ending that doesn't exist only to come here in search of answers and get nothing but disappointment.

I'm glad I read the endings. I was really furious at first but now I'm slowly coming to terms that the ending I imagined my Shep would have would just exist in my mind. But don't you think knowing how things end and what the fate of the characters we care about would make us cherish a million times the time we spend with them (before the dreaded ending)?
But I really hope there will be an alternate ending DLC. Or even better, an expansion.

When the shaaat hits the fan the first thing they will say is "you don't get it, it's art." Not until sales start dropping off on a halflife decay curve as word of mouth gets around will they then be forced to admit, maybe we screwed up. At that point cue the free stuff with purchase, only when that dries up and you expect honest talk.

I have a feeling a few weeks from now the "Take Earth Back" marketing tag line for ME3 will no longer be heard, instead just the word of mouth tag line: "Rent, don't buy."

The tali mancers already know for them the hate is brewing and waiting to be released next week. Some are in denial and some left the forums before they found out about the ending.

Being the endings true, bioware fails to deliver in the very last moment what made this series successful: CHOICE.

You know what? I don't think I will try to calm them down. Bioware deserves to get an earful for this.

But again, if I'm proven wrong, I will HAPPILY eat my own words.

Exactly we are already coming to terms with the way it's going to end - we've gone through the hurt /disappointed stage, we've gone through the anger stage and now we're trying to fill in the gaps explain away/accept.

Those people are going to be heartbroken and some of them are so sure that they will have a happy ending with their love interest (I mean heck even DA2 had this in a text epilogue) and their crew will at least be explained whether they go their separate ways. Mass Effect 2 which was a suicide mission made them think they can come out unscathed from this.

Nothing would indicate to them that this is the ending. They are going to go beserk. How could Bioware have not forseen what a dangerous move this is?

I'm honestly still trying to understand.

Either they felt like doing an "artistic" ending (on which I call BS), or they wanted to make sure to avoid a "canon" ending in future games, since the endings are pretty much the same.

I don't even know if I could accept the reasoning of avoiding a canon ending :/

Synergy ending especially would make a huge difference to the universe. And Citadel being alive or destroyed can't really be ignored either, nor can entire civilisations being dead or alive now that I think about it.

If Bioware can explain away these endings or just go with a canon or go back with prequels, they could have just as easily made the effort to make a scene or even text epilogue where Shepard, his LI and his crew survive together and what they move onto.

2.  Bioware should know by now that we don't like poor endings i.e. DA2 (I liked it believe it or not)
3.  The vids come from a Russian Pirate copy (chances are [i hope] it was bait)
4.  Over the past 5 years they have been spouting how ME is about your choices.  (suddenly they forgot that?)
5.  There's someone quoted from bioware that they are not going to "LOST" the series.
6.  The game is not out yet.  All of this anger is unfounded...... for now.

I just don't buy it.  Literely if the rumors are true.

There's rumours that Shepard was the one that sent them away but I haven't seen any verification.

Just get less than 2k points for the war effort and kill off the entire crew, kinder that way.

Hope so.
As for him fleeing. Geez, you'd think he'd have a bit more faith than that after all we've been through. Hell, at this point he should probably expect Shepard to kill all the Reapers individually via face punches.

I can't wait till March 7-10th to watch 10% of the commuinity get banned and the backfire at bioware. I told them to go read the spoilers so they could brace themselves but they didn't listen. Chris and Stanley won't even bother writing lock down they will just lock the thread and ban the original author of the thread without explanation.

I expect the Liara thread to get locked because she gets screwed either way.

Not a chance I'll lift a finger to clam them down. BW absolutely deserves all the crap coming their way and then some. This is sloppy writing filled with pointless cut scenes - come on - Christmas Tree light endings as cut scenes - push the button get your color - this is the height of arrogance and ignorance on a scale unmatched in any medium. On top of that now BW comes up with this Reaper singularity crap killing us to save organic species for our own good? Dear, God, its gone past ridiculous into madness you can only find in a mental institute for the severely deranged.

Then some here wonder why we, the sane crowd, react to the severely deranged? Hell the vast majority of us couldn't even pull this out of our but on a bad day!

If they do that . Then this gets even worse for them and EA. That would lead into censoring fan feedback

I've seen half a dozen people write better endings which are more integrated with the content of the story up to this point already in this thread alone. And none of them were direct rip-offs of ten year old games with a dash of starvation and incest sprinkled on top.
