Does seem extra quiet today. Wonder if others are doing what I've been doing most of the day and that's taking part in the beta test of GW2.

I did start another playthrough on ME3 but got to Mars and just couldn't go on any further. At least I did my switch on part.

Sorry a bit late but Ajna and I have been playing GW2 as well!

Yup, if you were really that anti Norn hun you could have just said, you didn't have to break the servers. :P

Just popping in before doing the TurnON part of the TurnON/TurnOFF campaign. Going to re-import my sole ME1/ME2 port, starting an Insanity run.

Wish me luck!

Good luck!

I've turned mine on and just left it running while I do other things.  No luck needed for that. XD

I just turned on ME3 for a little while. I'm on the citadel right at the beginning, I really don't feel like leaving it...

I tried signing up for that Onlive service, I got a month of their playback bundle for 2 dollars, so I thought I'd try it. It is the worst thing ever invented ever! I've got some pretty good internet, and the games look like I'm playing them through a bowl of soup. I tried play Dear Esther, and it was so pixelated, it made it meaningless.

Then I tried playing some other games, but the client couldn't connect properly and the audio was gone.

Then it encountered an unexpected error and crashed like 30 times in a row, which apparently is a pretty big issue that tons of people have, but customer service doesn't know what causes it.

I wanted to try it to take my mind off of the ME3 ending, and it made me even more frustrated... What a terrible service.

I really hope that isn't the future of gaming. I already have enough of a problem with digital downloads, and forcing association to Origin and the such. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of us not owning the game, but "borrowing" it from the publishers. This just takes it one step further the wrong way.

I still prefer getting physical copies of games whenever possible.

Yeah, I remember that video, lol. But as a Vancouverite, I can vouch for Bioware that the large majority of us are indeed 2-Dimensional.

That's not even going into the MP glitch that left me floating into the air while leaving me in the middle of things in all of my teammates games and made me unkillable. According to one of my teammates, I was tanking an Atlas Mech on 2 seperate occasions. My teammates apparently got a lot of points shooting rockets in my direction...

Meanwhile I just kept floating higher and higher. Then things just got trippy

I already posted these earlier in the thread but here are some pics from my POV of this incident.

The extraction zone, you're going the wrong way.

But the worst glitch that happened to me was when some random geth froze. He wouldn't move, and somehow also became invincible. So the team couldn't move on to the next round because we couldn't kill him.

That's happened to me a couple of times as well. One of those times was during the exctraction though, so it was argubly a good thing in that instance...

It's like the game checks what weapon you use the most in single player and makes sure you never get it in MP. I go the Claymore of all things from one of the event packs.

So I took the lemons and made lemonade by rolling a Krogan Sentinal. Smashy-smashy!

Multi-player is fun if you have your parents credit card and are ok with 10 ft by 10ft level constantly with no one else communicating. Also you have to be ok with friends not playing the game with you since they left for something better which is just about anything out there now. Protoype 2's ending was better and it was like 25 second cutscene with 1 line.

If you have to pay for things like mortgages, healthcare since company no longer provides it then Mass Effects multiplayer is a kick in the face since it is all about making more money. They wasted development time on crap MP that no player who only plays MP would buy this game to play since to get the good stuff requires real money to be competitive. Multi-player is only co-op which draws in even less people who are the MP crows. Call it what it is... A money grab marketing test to see how stupid gamers are. To keep respect they should have never done multi-player and put that development into endings that took into account the rest of the series much less choices.

But from a business stand point the Multi Player is genius. It probably took a week or two to develop. Its a step above Pong in complexity and morons will throw real money at it to "get the good stuff" to experience a few 10ft by 10ft levels over and over again for the payoff of leveling characters then dumping them to SP to have to level them over again.

So...

We can't get the endings we want, but the simpletons got a game mode that will bleed their parents dry.

Bioware Montreal actually did the MP stuff.  SP was all in Edmonton so no time wasted. Not to mention if they managed to screw up the ending this badly from one location, imagine the plot holes coming from multiple ones

Bioware's from Canada, we get free healthcare up here.

That being said, they have said that you don't need MP to get the best ending, pretty much everyone says that's not the case... I haven't gotten close to 5000 on SP.  Also being said, EA did push them to get the game out the door thinking no one would care, they've learnt a valuable lesson and have already started changing things.. so in that case we've succeeded a lot in what we wanted from them.. just hoping they somehow salvage the ending to ME3 now. :crying:

OR (and stop me if this is making too much sense) you could just play the MP, and get a spectre pack every two silver wins ;which isn't that hard, by the way) and stop whining about something completely optional. I haven't spent a dime on the MZp and I have plenty of toys.

MP, stupid phone limitations.

Edit: If it was developed in a week or two how much effort did it really take away from the main game? As well, judging by the MP forums people are obviously enjoying it, so it wasn't a waste of time.

Power button? lol, or is it so glitched it can make backup circuits in your machine to provide energy to run its glitchyness... in fact, little known secret the campaign uses the unreal 3 engine, but the multiplayer runs on the perpetual motion X engine

Meh, the MP is a decent way to pass the time without having to deal with the endings. It sucks that you can't CHOOSE what you want to buy, and the whole thing reeks of desperate attempts to extend playlife, but I'm not sure what anyone was expecting from it. I guess if you had high hopes for something involving and exciting (for some bizarre reason) that you would be disappointed.

I would also call BS on even having the option to pay real money for gamble packs that may not have anything useful in them, but it's not necessary to do so and if people want to buy the only reason to play the thing rather than actually play the thing it's their choice not mine.
