Hey Computim, thanks for the quick answer!Due to the last patch for the 360(that I heard of anyway)messing up playing the game,I'm all of not playing ME3.Though I'm playing the heck out of the Witcher 2.Only Boss I really hate is the Kayran, only scene they could have left out was the eye scene and the sounds.Brrrr.Hard core middle ages.

People are going to play SP for like a day, then not for a day or something.. I so completely botched my attempt.. I didn't play today, and I'm probably not playing tomorrow either hahaha.  It was a good try... personally I want the reapers to attack the batlefield 3 maps right now... I have the urge to blow something other than russians and americans up :(

I played today and don't plan on playing tomorrow. Not sure what I'm going to do, maybe TW2

I couldn't post until I registered the game and then had to wait 24hrs or whatever. So by the time I was able to post, I was done with the game.

Yeah I've been registered for a few years, so I didn't have that issue, except for the night before the game came out, then I couldn't post because I needed to register my game, which I didn't get until about 2 the next day

Oh, I've been registered since last year, I just needed to register the game itself, and it took a while for them to recognize it and let me post here, for some reason.

I didn't even bother to register any of my games on BSN until I wanted to download some mods to DA

So we have this gaming store near us run by felloy gamers and it's great for trade ins. Well for everything but PC games that is. :P Still, everything from movies to any console games are good. My husband I took in our old systems (like our old gameboys) and some games we knew we'd never play again. We got almost $300 for them :P So we were able to turn in games we did not like, specifics need not be mentioned :P And we got a brand new Kinect for our 360, a new controller, I got Dungeon Siege 3 and we still have a bunch of store credit. Could have gotten cash but I know I'll want to play a used copy of DA 3 at some point etc. I wanted to get the Witcher games but alas, they don't take or sell PC games so I'll have to buy it elsewhere. I was surprised that some of our old playstation games were worth $40.

Anyway, this post wasn't to brag or anything, just to share my joy at the fact that there are places to get decent trade in value for the things that don't make you happy anymore. Usually we take stuff to half price books but you get next to nothing in trade in value with them.

Back on topic, I didn't bother to play ME3, I just don't see the point. The EC will have to be pretty highly rated by the people in this thread for me to bother with it. I'm not trying to sound whiny, I'm just done with anything involving the rEApers.

I mainly come here for you guys really. :P Not that I'm a cyber stalker or anything. :P

Hi all, I've started lurking more than posting, I've been here since around pg 700, I am so sorry that BSN is interferring with your school TamiBx :( I know the feeling I wasn't able to do anything but keep hitting the refresh button on BSN for like a month. I think you'll be alright, the exams are just a pain :) Then you can come right back :) I think I had a panic attack too when I saw the Bioware logo in our thread! I also didn't play today even though I wanted too, but I won't play tomorrow at least, that counts right? Anywho, back to lurking for me. Still holding the line, still holding the wallet.

Edit:  Hugs for everyone :)  and I brought donuts and coffee to restock.

I came in late on this thread. First post is 2208. I started lurking at around 1500 when i finished the game. It took me a few days of stewing on the end to feel the need to post. In that time, the thread jumped 700 pages. man the thread was movin back then.

It was moving at lightspeed as long as people were getting to the ending, and going WTF??Then realizing they wanted to have some support among people that understood putting 100's of hours into a series and getting a messed up universe as a ending.

I lurked a lot in this forums.

When I was playing ME2, I felt part of a bigger community for the first time (I played ME2 on PS3 first, the ME1 on PC) and that was amazing. I literally read every single demotivational poster in the old Motivational Thread for ME2 and that added to my Mass Effect experience a lot. ME fans seemed a bunch of funny guys with lot of passion at the time.

Right now, I've been lurking the ending threads since I've finished the game (about four days after the release) and I don't even know if it's cool to be considered part of the Mass Effect fandom anymore. This whining totally got out of hand and, say whatever you want, for every "polite complainer" I see hundreds of people whining because they didn't get their stupid "epic" ending they figured out in their minds. I read about people pissed off because the ending was scientifically impossible and then asking for a Quarian/Human child with Tali, people saying "I cannot force my decision upon the Galaxy!" and then asking BioWare to change their game to fulfill their own fantasy.

I don't know what you guys think about how this "gaming scandal" is received, and I don't even know how the majority out there perceive this, but it's all starting to look a lot like a nursery to me.

We were promised in the ad campaign; 16 endings based on our choices, that there would be "no A, B, or C endings", closure & finality.

We got: 1 ending in three colors, regardless of the choices made before the last one, and we had to pester Bioware staff on Twitter to find out what happens to our allies. And that's ignoring all logic loopholes in it.

Anyone who tries to dictate the ending to Bioware is in the nursery, I won't argue that. But some of us are just asking for an ending that makes sense, and delivers on the promises from the ads. And I feel we are justified in pursuing that.

You can talk about Artistic Integrity all you want, but in the end of the day that's a rich artist's argument. They don't have to change it, and we don't have to ever buy another Bioware product again. It's in their best interest to make the consumer HAPPY, which does NOT mean catering to every single complaint posted on the forums. Just admitting that yes, the ending has flaws, and doing something about them.

It's not even about making us "happy" per se, as much as making us feel fulfilled by the ending. And the ending as it stands is so unfulfilling that some players feel like there's no point playing ME3, or even the ME trilogy ever again. Leaving it as it stands would not make sense from a business standpoint, because they're losing the core fanbase over it. ME3 started flopping HARD as soon as word of mouth spread, and it's all because of TEN MINUTES at the end of the game. Just think about that. No one is complaining about the rest of the game, just the very end.

Ten minutes is the difference between a game loved by the players, and a flop.

Multi-player is fun if you have your parents credit card and are ok with 10 ft by 10ft level constantly with no one else communicating. Also you have to be ok with friends not playing the game with you since they left for something better which is just about anything out there now. Protoype 2's ending was better and it was like 25 second cutscene with 1 line.

If you have to pay for things like mortgages, healthcare since company no longer provides it then Mass Effects multiplayer is a kick in the face since it is all about making more money. They wasted development time on crap M
me to play since to get the good stuff requires real money to be competitive. Multi-player is only co-op which draws in even less people who are the MP crows. Call it what it is... A money grab marketing test to see how stupid gamers are. To keep respect they should have never done multi-player and put that development into endings that took into account the rest of the series much less choices.

But from a business stand point the Multi Player is genius. It probably took a week or two to develop. Its a step above Pong in complexity and morons will throw real money at it to "get the good stuff" to experience a few 10ft by 10ft levels over and over again for the payoff of leveling characters then dumping them to SP to have to level them over again.

So...

We can't get the endings we want, but the simpletons got a game mode that will bleed their parents dry.

Bioware Montreal actually did the MP stuff.  SP was all in Edmonton so no time wasted. Not to mention if they managed to screw up the ending this badly from one location, imagine the plot holes coming from multiple ones

Bioware's from Canada, we get free healthcare up here.

That being said, they have said that you don't need MP to get the best ending, pretty much everyone says that's not the case... I haven't gotten close to 5000 on SP.  Also being said, EA did push them to get the game out the door thinking no one would care, they've learnt a valuable lesson and have already started changing things.. so in that case we've succeeded a lot in what we wanted from them.. just hoping they somehow salvage the ending to ME3 now. :crying:

You guys should check out my thoughts on the multiplayer and why I think it's the reason the endings are what they are. This is the thread:

http://social.biowar.../index/11486070

And remeber that this is just my opinion.

Hold the line/wallet!

I've been playing DA2 a bit this weekend. It's actually a lot more tolerable now that it's been so long since I played it. And when you try to forget that it's a sequel to DAO, it's actually a decent game.

I think I was always a little biased though. The fact that they got Eve Myles to voice Merrill, and she did such an awesome job at it skews my opinion. She's got the sexiest damn voice.

Played DA2 first so my opinion wasn't skewed by DA:O. For sure the games barely resemble themselves; you can see it in the import choices basically having zero impact on the game. Merrill's still the best LI in DA and I'm a bit sad I won't be seeing her again in DA3 since I won't be buying it.

Ah well. We'll always have that one time I slaughtered her whole clan and the clan of the HoF.

Haha, it is a very long thread to follow. I probably ignored about 1000 pages or so. Maybe more. It is always good to see that Bioware isn't ignoring this thread (even if you are from the DA team).
But everytime I come back and see a Bioware sign on this thread, I can't help but think we are in trouble..

At over 3600+ pages, the only way I could see anyone getting in trouble is if they started ostensibly violating forum rules.  Which no one ever appears to be doing in this thread.  For the most part it reads like it's people meeting up for a daily coffee.

Don't mean to sound nosey or anything, but do you know if any of the ME team happened to take a look at this thread too? One of our main concerns besides the ending is the feeling that we're being outright ignored.
