Hint: that's meant to be a lane leading to my house!

Damn... monsoon time or something? :), sorry to hear it, did you have a nice time though? or was it a total bust?
But yeah i got my tan on (so sorry to rub it in), went snorkling and such, the pool was amazing, im not usually a lazy person, but it was hard to drag me away from the pool and just relax in the sun all day :)

"It's important we push hard on the EC, that's all."

Damn right it is   ^_^

Still, it's good to feel like--whether or not it fixes anything--the top priority is the EC. It's the most sensible stance to take when they've already resorted to slashing prices on the game.

More than anything, I kinda feel like the word of mouth affected sales of ME3. Really not much else to say for it when the sales dropped off so sharply after the first week.

"4.) The higher-ups at EA are not pleased with the sales of Mass Effect 3 or The Old Republic."

Can't imagine why they would be. CAN imagine that it's probably their own fault. Somewhere back in the flood of pages, there was talk of the rEApers and it really rings true. How they keep hiring good staff and failing to produce good games is sad. It has to be on the business side, right? Not giving adequate time to create the game itself, spending too much on advertising... I just don't get it. How many times can you make the same mistakes?

Blows me away that we're still seeing this stance, so this feels more like a grab for page hits, but I think it's probably important for this to draw a healthy number of responses. If you agree, please go weigh in with your civil comments; the author(s) actually ask for it:

You probably heard about the Walking Dead game but here's a trailer for it and it's called ironically: The Walking Dead - Choices Matter.  I think they want us to know that they won't pull a ME3.

Edit: Count how many times the guys says choices and consequences.   Image IPB

You know what is hilariously dumb about that writer. he contradicts his article before it even begins.

very first sentence;

"Normally this wouldn't be particularly newsworthy - after all, nine out
of every ten video game endings are drenched in generous lashings of
weak sauce."

So apparently we should just accept that most videogames aren't very good. Suck it up, and keep paying our hard earned dollars for garbage because that's the status quo.

I don't know about them, but the work I do is tough. Most days I come home covered in ash, smelling like smoke. What I do with the money I earn from that hard work is important. I'm fed up spending money on something that is unfinished, unpolished, and quite frankly, sub par.

According to IGN, the customer is only wrong if you're a gamer.

Nice to see nearly all the comments are arguing against the article.

We don't have too much power, we just presented to people we knew, bioware and the media simple explanations of why the endings were dissapointing, and as a result of that the game did not sell as many copies as it could have done, and bioware made a decision to try and resolve the situation based on the potential loss of future sales, and probably some basic decency and integrity.

And I'll add that anyone can try to launch a social media campaign for whatever cause they feel like, but obviously they are more likely to be successful if there are valid arguments and reasonings behind it, and in this case it became apparent to outside observers that there were.
