Worst, I didn't play ME again. And I thought I would be thrilled to go through all of them again, after it was over.
How to kill a franchise, I say.

I find myself on a retro kick suddenly. I'm going to go play games I know end well, like Final Fantasy 6 or illusion of Gaia or something. Probably Illusion, I haven't played that game in forever...

Just a little something from the glory days of Enix, before it was Square Enix and began the long, painful slide into badness. It's weird, right? Square was making good games, Enix was making good games, they marge, release some good games, and slowly yet inescapably descend into the realms of crap like Final Fantasy X-2.
Not that good developers going bad is relevent to the topic of this thread or anything

EARTHBOUND! It had a scratch and sniff book/page?
I may vaguely remember such a thing. Speaking of games I haven't played in forever.

Quite a comprehensive survey on peoples opinion on mass effect 3 http://www.masseffect-universe.de/
Do take part, scroll down for some clinical but decent english.
Ok link should work now, top news item is the survey
Back from on/off! Survey is completed. Nicely put together. I just wish in the "will you buy dlc question" there was an option to say that I will buy more dlc if the ending is fixed and I get what I was promised.

The disparity between critic and user shows just how much critics are out of touch, some of those scores are rediculous, even if we totally discount the ending there are other things wrong that drop this game below a 10, lack of middle option dialogue, over use of autodialogue, scanning planets to find a cruiser, very little in the way of side quests with any real meat, I enjoyed the game before the ending, it was an emotional roller coaster ride, but that alone does not earn it a 10, I'd give it an 8 and that's being generous.RussianOrc wrote...

I completed the survey too. Emphasis on "We don't need an explanation. We are not stupid. We understood it. It's just bad. We need better endings".

The more relevant thing was the critics column vs the user column. Pretty much the state of the whole industry right now. They see rainbow ponies. We see what the ponies leave behind.

I completely agree.
The problem, again, is that it's a bizarre situation. The "critics" say whatever is needed to get "early access", or "exclusive interviews". And it becomes a dubious partnership between sites and game developers. If you get on their good side, they will give you great advertising and scores.
Imagine getting cute "industry commentators" into the game itself...

That would never happen. The journalistic integrity of Diane Allers would never stand for it! :innocent:

On a side note: that survey is not smart phone friendly. Also seems like it can be spammed easily.

It's okay, one of these days we're just going to, without warning, have 3 solid coloured pictures for a post: red, green, and blue. You'll be able to choose which of them your interpretation of the thread is and then, if you still don't like how we end it, we may give you clarification in the form of the hexidecimal color values (we've already decided 255,0,0; 0, 255, 0; and 0, 0 255) but you will be placated to know we've heard your opinions and are taking them into account keeping artistic integrity first and foremost.
Thanks for visiting the thread! Your opinion is important to us! Please use the suggestions box to leave suggestions... no that's not a shredder.. it just looks like one, and makes a noise when you put paper in it.. but it's not! Honest! :innocent:

Someone start up a new poll:
"How would you describe your feelings about Mass Effect 3: Red, Blue, Green?"
