While we're on the topic of CDP Red, I'd like to bring to light a story I heard recently from TotalBiscuit. So, there's this indie game called Botanicula which was released in a Humble Indie Bundle at the same time as the proper launch. Naturally the people who preordered this game were a bit miffed at paying probably more while the bundle came with a number of extras. So  GoG went out of their way to try and get some of the bonuses in the name of the preorder customers.

Additionally, CDP threw in a free copy of the first Witcher game to try and make it up to the preorder customers, despite not actually being the ones who screwed them over in the first place.

Here's the link to their announcement.

Between that and the fact you can get a backup copy of Witcher 2 from GoG even if you bought it from STEAM, that makes CDP pretty much the best PC dev out there. Oh yeah, Witcher 2 launched DRM free, btw. And it was pirated, A LOT. And it also sold a lot of copies. Clearly a population on 4chan supports them, for ripping on the guy who pirated it.

And, oh yeah, GoG itself is a site where you can go to purchase a number of PC classics, formatted to run on modern computers, that had been unavailable and unsupported by even their own Devs previously. Including Baldur's Gate. DRM free again, I believe. Along with some indie titles.

And since this is a multi-national thread, I'll add that they actually convert prices according to local currency. Instead of a game costing like 10 dollars American and 10 EUROS, which is of course a lot more money than $10.
