Hey, as a qualified hipster I resent that statement! I'm in process of growing an ironic beard!
But in all seriousness, when Waiting for Godot makes more sense than your ending, you've done something wrong. No, that's badly phrased... When Waiting for Godot runs more logically and breaks the classic narrative structure less than the ending to your story, which was built on that said structure, you've ****** up.
You had to bring up Waiting for Godot; I had an easier time following War and Peace.....that sob is 1/4 french; is techinally 4 damn books in one.....*chuckles* well; *paints your ironic beard on you* you are complete m'Lady.....

And Godot was the first thing to come to my mind, since we did a bit from it on my literature tutorial class last week

Then let's talk about resourses. Don't you prefer they reroute the resources to the singleplayer team so they can make more SP content (with more dialogue) rather than making some new MP map?
We all already know what happens when you spend resourses on side things like MP and kinnect - you get stock photo of Tali and poor ending.
Let's be fair. The Connect thing is really cool. From what I have seen it improves the flow and immersion of the game. As long as you don't have a funny accent.
Anyone remember Big Bang Theory and Kripkey tying to use his new iPhone?

I like the Kinect... it helps it pretty much ALWAYS works for me being as I provided one of the voice profiles for Microsoft to build it off of... ME's implementation is pretty standard and works well.. I just feel weird screaming commands at my TV hahaha.

Lots of money and years of succesfuly exploiting succesful franchises? Maybe they will get so much money one day and they all pile it in one room to count it, then a man from the Fire Service will come and tell them its a safety risk and confiscate it so they end up with no money...?

We won't be alive by the time it happens... their CEO, statistically, will be a gamer in about 45 years. Based of the current demographic shift towards gaming.
By that time they will already have taken over all studios that put out good games, all employees of said studios will have signed lifetime non-competition agreements, and therefore will not be able to work anywhere else.... and all games will simply be subscription based multiplayer shooters or, if you're lucky, the sims... but your SIM/Shooter will require a constant real life payment of $1 for every clip, every meal, every litre/gallon of gas they use.... all paid directly to EA of course..
The CEO will, of course, try to change things then, but realize that the wheels were already in motion years ago... and the only solution is to form a rebel group of studios. They'll name them Electronic Real Arts... and the cycle will begin again.

I can't stand the argument from people of "Why are you guys so angry about BS science in your game about BS science?" Like I said in that post, there's a difference between establishing such things from the get go (the game has an encyclopedia for these things), rather than introducing them as a conveniant justification for a last second plot device.BigglesFlysAgain wrote...

The topic of cutting corners is hip, fresh, and completely untouched upon. But seriously, it does come up pretty often as an obvious general answer as to why something was as it appeared (or didn't appear). So I use it.
As for the Avengers, I don't remember what exactly I said, but I could imagine it would be in reference to that, lol. Though there were a lot of funny moments. My favourite moment in the movie would be The Hulk's first few seconds of action in the final fight (can't really describe it without spoilers, but the part where he tells his secret.)
Yeah his secret was pretty cool, certainly the best acted Dr Banner IMO, Though I could tell I am not much of a comic buff when I had to go and look up who was in the closing titles teaser...
And I think you said somthing about space magic yesterday and I agree, its fine when the whole univrese is based around it, but introducing it at the last minute in other media....
Though another problem is that these people want to argue that the ending is grounded well in reality and the parameters set out by the series. The thing is that for the ending to work on any functional level, you need to remove it from that reality, and into a sort of metaphysical realm. The problem now being that now this metaphysical BS has no place in a series like Mass Effect, which has always been a series about accepting the literal. It may have been unknowing and mysterious at times, but its always been literal.
In summation, Space magic sucks.
