I can't stand the argument from people of "Why are you guys so angry about BS science in your game about BS science?" Like I said in that post, there's a difference between establishing such things from the get go (the game has an encyclopedia for these things), rather than introducing them as a conveniant justification for a last second plot device.

Though another problem is that these people want to argue that the ending is grounded well in reality and the parameters set out by the series. The thing is that for the ending to work on any functional level, you need to remove it from that reality, and into a sort of metaphysical realm. The problem now being that now this metaphysical BS has no place in a series like Mass Effect, which has always been a series about accepting the literal. It may have been unknowing and mysterious at times, but its always been literal.

In summation, Space magic sucks.

I realise how much I enjoyed the reccent marvel film when I remembered that I did not bat an eyelid at the very large flying machine utalised by SHEILD becuase I think they might have even invented the concept and they have always had one in all their previous comic appearences.... Usualy when a film has one I sigh in annoyance but this time... It was cool lol

You gotta summarize, in case the meaning gets lost in there somewhere, lol.

I wasn't aware there was an imaginary line that this guy (who rambles like he had too much hand sanitizer) has mentally drawn that separates his customers from people's opinions he actually cares about.

Well.. since he only cares about Game Developers' opinions... my resume includes no less than 3 games (Happy to PM details) I've worked on.  I've done an MMO, and MMOSG, and an adventure RPG back in the 90s.  I've directly coded for them, I've done utility tools for testing server/client connectivity, I've done databases, I've done community management (including managing the tech support help desk), and I've done website work for them.. along with a variety of community 'mod' type stuff.

Bottom line, Mass Effect 3's ending still sucks.

Next argument.  Holding the line.

Through his logic, I am perfectly qualified to professionally critique the story of ME3. When I was younger, I was a short story writer, I was sent to college level classes in jr high, given several awards for writing, and pretty much was on my way as a professional writer....Then highschool basketball happened.....Anyways, since I have actually created written works, I can give my credible opinion on ME3's ending.

It SUCKS.

whatgot me was he was not laughing or joking but actually serious

he made a few snarky comments about other triple A game developers calling there games crap, rubbish or bollocks.

but his venomus comments were directed at gamers and he did comment about the ME3 ending and the gamers who complained about it.


i'm kinda 1/4 awake here i just need someone who has the guts to watch this without screaming or going into a hyper violent blood thirsty murderous rampage.

i just need help to see if he really did just say that stuff

What got me was the "unless you have made/make video games your opinion doesn't matter"
So if thats the case why should I spend my money on something you hope I'll along with millions of other gamers will  buy. Obviously we play a key role whether or not something is successful, but our opinions don't matter..... so whose fault is it when a game bombs? Ours?

Am I stupid or is something VERY wrong with that?

1 day... then I'm 21+1 day~! :happy: Yes, I really couldn't care about my age.... unlike most women.... who get all huffy when you ask them their age... at least the ones I know...
