The only way to be satisfied is as an extremely cynical renegade Shepard, where everything you did was only for war assets, any future benefits it would bring would be incidental, all you needed was a method of delivery of him/herself to the ending... Maybe we all missed the point by caring too much about those two parts of the game...
So we can't get the ending we want after all?
