What, some people actually tell you why you were kicked?
Not on PC they don't.like i said in comment section ive had them all happen at one point or another but the first happens every 2-3 matches if i play as my geth engineer or asari justicar
One guy tried to kick me on silver, when I was leveling my geth inf from lvl 1 after promoting. The other players looked at my N7 rating (over 600, not a great indicator of skill, but better than nothing) and my weapon (BW) and decided to keep me in the game. A good choice, I'm a good sniper inf, objective runner and rez pony. I usually use adrenaline module III with hunter vision, which means I can run Condor from the mountain to the spawn point in a matter of seconds. Useful if someone in the team has a tendency to wander off to die x)

People kicking for a gun alone, without looking at the class and speculating the build, are usually bad players, so nothing lost there. ARs don't do much damage, but not all classes rely on weapon dmg. I'm still looking for that perfect AR/SMG for my offensive Justicar, since I need something to keep mobs inside the bubble while I'm waiting for the cooldown to run it's course. Hurricane is kinda nice, but needs slightly too much correction for the recoil without stability mod + module to be really viable with my build.Nharia1 wrote...

And before you say a sniper rifle... I DON'T HAVE A GOOD ONE!
As I recall, tac cloak actually determines cooldown differently from other skills, calculating it from the time spent cloaked. Or at least that's what they say on MP section. I'm inclined to believe them, since my BW makes my GI to have negative cooldown, but I have never had to wait for my cloak. Then again. I play my GI as pure sniper, so I really don't have any skills benefitting or suffering from the cooldown.
edit. You're not a pc player, are you? I could play with you until you get creds for awesome weapons if you are

Geth SMG is good, but doesn't have quite enough stopping power for offensive J. I need a big-clipped stopper, but I need to be able to deal some weapon dmg as well, even if the main purpose is to stop mobs and set them up for tech+biotic kaboom. Incendiary ammo should trigger tech kaboom if my biotic explosion kills the target, right?

Mostly I play my infiltrator. Its fun to drain spam and bust some heads open with the Valiant. I have a few people that are really fun to play with - and we work together well. I think thats key to owning on the battlefield.
If you worry less about score and more about killing stuff, its amazing what the results can be. No one is mad, everyone saves everyone else, and the enemies get dropped pretty fast.
I cannot stand people who look down their noses at the less fortunate. Who cares what gun they have? I don't even look at stuff like that. I don't think you would be looking at other peopoles gear unless there is some kind of e-peen issue going on there.
That being said, I wish there was a way to get the items you want from the store. Sure - make the top of the line Promotional N7 weapons random, but let me choose consumables and the like. I might actually use armor and weapon mods more often then.

But when I did pugs, I really, really had to look at people's guns, since that is pretty much the only indicator the game gives you about whether the person can play at all. Never kicked for that though, but if there was two low level SI's sporting Predators and Avengers and a Drell Vanguard with a Striker, I usually lef the lobby, since chances are those guys didn't know how to play as a team either.
Now that I have insurance that all players I play with are competent, I don't mind them coming to a battle bare-handed if they choose to

Sports teams do often own up to their shortcomings. In fact, I used an example of this earlier in the thread against Bioware as well. The funny thing is they do this, knowing their fans are completely loyal to them anyways. They just do it out of a responsibilty they feel for not performing up to the standards they should.
Haha, I must have missed your post on this, but I've actually used this example before too in another small ramble somewhere.
That example about paying club members was unusual for me because I generally don't think of sports fans as having any kind of ongoing paying commitment, and thereby not being "owed" anything in any literal sense; and yet sports teams or players still seem to feel accountable to fans -- paying or not -- when they underperform, and no-one even thinks to call these fans entitled or whiny for being disappointed or for expressing opinions about their teams or players.
Regarding the rest of your post -- I've said that before I'm not intrinsically opposed to the "artistic integrity" defence. What I do dislike is its being used as an excuse in the lack of any defence of the work's artistic merit, which is a different thing altogether. Like you said, they need to acknowledge that something's gone wrong. Tough to do, but this is a product they're trying to sell, and that's why this matters. So far it's as though they've been trying to project the problem onto the players, insinuating (snidely) that the players are the problem, because they don't get it or what have you. Yes, there are stupid players, and no, you "can't please everyone". But a response this universal? Something's clearly wrong, and they're putting the bandage in the wrong place.

Don't feel so bad. As long as you weren't rummaging around in the bargain bin the stuff should last you a while.
When I build a new gaming rig every few years I spend about $800 on just the memory, CPU and MOBO. Fortunately most of the stuff is included on the MOBO these days. Except the video cards cost around $300 for 2. Meh.
As long as it does what you want it to enjoy paying less than some insane people.
