[Major Swift]

finished writing first chapter and am now reading through it etc, theres something relieving about writing something smaller in size/not having to have it all done at once since its in chapters and not one thing like the rewrites (still have a bit of a nervous feeling about the whole idea and whats coming down the road haha)

I can agree with this, had they actually done something with the resolutions created in ME 2 within ME 3 then I would have probably not thought so much of it as filler.  It is because it seems to have no relevant bearing on ME 3 that puts it into the filler catagory in my mind.

I saw that the VA for Garrus has confirmed he's doing more lines, do we know if anyone else has confirmed or have there been any other updates on the extended cut recently?

Raphael Sbarge has confirmed as well as EDI's VA (I can't for the life of me remember her name).  I think there was an article some where that said most of the VA had gotten call backs.

Not really, it's a peripheral process that takes place among a different division separate from the programmers. The fact that they had lines recorded and implemented into ME2 prior to making Legion unobtainable before endgame should be an indicator that A LOT happens during and after the recording sessions.

Basically, they get the scripts cleared and then start scheduling the recording sessions while the programming begins. Because experienced, professional VAs, especially Jennifer Hale, tend to keep pretty busy.

Of course ME3 was going to generate them a huge profit, an effective PR campaign and the fact that it was the most anticipated game of the year is going to do that. The more interesting numbers are what has happened to games like SWTOR and the real indicators of how much of a backlash there has been will come with the release of the next big BioWare title. ME3 was never going to be a commerical failure, what has happened is that it and BioWare's overall reaction have caused damage to their brand and their customers faith in it. Also, I'm pleased to see that they've made a profit on ME3 because as a whole it is a good game and by making a profit we are more likely to get games like that in the future. The more important thing is whether BioWare has learned from the mistakes of ME3 and the fans reaction so that they won't repeat them in the next title. As far as EA is concerned it is generally accepted that as a business it is not doing as well as it should and their profits do not match expectations for a company of their size and this is not down to BioWare.

Well, the retailers may be on the hook unless Bioware/EA has agrees to cover the losses. Either way my understanding is they will take pre-orders minus returns into account when they determine how much of the next Bioware product they will order. So ME3s problems could have a profound ripple effect.

From what I figure, the only real purpose of ME2 turned out to be that Cerberus is something that exists and is relevant. Nothing about their motivations or purpose or anything (which gets changed without any semblance of transition), but just the fact they exist. And also that I guess you had decided to willingly side with them (even if you never did).

That's what ME3 managed to reduce ME2 down to. Did I ever mention that I hate ME3? lol.

Well that may have been part of it but it was more that they were not able to adapt their society to the changes going on around them. Increased infantacide and warfare led to fewer of the elite "true" Spartans and the widening social divisions were more destructive than simply not having enough men to put in the field. Had they been able to adapt and include the Periokoi and helots in the army they would have had the strength in numbers again. Sadly their elitsm didn't allow for that. Sorry, the history nerd in me came out.

HOWEVER:
the news itself refers to the Vorcha completing their combined-arms
training, along with "technically-skilled personnel", which could be a
reference towards the new quarian classes we believe are also completing
the training, or it could be referring to the current troops training
the vorcha which way to point the barrel and what colour not to shoot.

Well, I know what colours TO shoot, Red, green, and blue.

So what does it mean? All I really got from it is that there could be Vorcha in MP, not exactly a cause to start organising the street partys, unless you really like multiplayer...
