Annoying glitch btw. It's not insta-kill per say, but it locks my character into a 3rd-person view, the bandit doesn't perform a move, but holds his 2-hand sword like he is blocking, and rapid head punch sequence ensues > I'm stun-locked and die. 

if you hadn't said skyrim i would have thought you just got killed by a rogue in WoW

As long as it's an undead rogue, I have no problem with it, they have the coolest dance moves 
But alas, I doubt Bethesda actually coded that little bit of happy-killing in their game. At least not on purpose.

lol agreed, how could you be annoyed with stun locked to death if this happens afterwards

Although I hate the ending on principle (it was bad from both a storyline and technical point), I have stopped caring about the entire ME series. ME3 killed it for me =S
People compare the ending of ME3 to the star wars movie edits...but those edits didn't kill the entire star wars series for people. That makes ME3s ending worse.

Anyways, later guys 'n' gals. Look after yourselves and have a good day/night/whatever <3

If you want to you can have mass effect 3s ending fixed... but you will never know what that song was...

Alternatively you can have the name of the song... but mass effect will never change...

Or you could just jump in to that pretty beam to see what happens...

I'm sorry but this may be a bit long.

I've just got home and finished reading the full editorial I mentioned back on page 3856.  It's actually worse than I first thought.  I've checked the website of the magazine and can't find any link to this at all.  There is no author credited for writing the editorial either.  As I can't link you to anything, I will quote the worst (IMO) paragraph:

"Sadly, it's looking more and more likely that Bioware's actually listened to this bunch of whiny b*****s, as it's announced that there's going to be some DLC that'll 'give fans seeking further clarity' a deeper insight into the end.  True, that's not confirmation that the ending's going to change (which we hope it doesn't), but it's enough of a backpedal to have gamers declaring victory in the pathetic war."

I don't really consider myself to be 'holding the line' as such.  I am not part of retake and, until today, I had posted in this thread once every 1000 pages.  I only created my account here after finishing ME3 to voice an opinion, with like minded individuals.  I also posted in the offical feedback thread because Bioware asked people for feedback.  I also donated to the child's play charity but that was for a couple of reasons (only 1 of which was because the end of ME3 was awful).  But I find articles like this to be very aggravating.

To show that I'm not whining, but trying to offer constructive feedback I would like to show how I had imagined the ending may have gone.  In general terms there would be several levels of ending.

1. The Critical Mission Failure - Reapers Win
2. The Halo Reach - Reapers stopped but everyone dies on the way.
3. The Armageddon - Shepard stops the Reapers by sacrificing himself.  Everyone else lives (Mass Relays not destroyed!)
4. The Saving Private Ryan - Reapers are stopped but Jacob and Vega are the only survivors.
5. The Magnificent Seven - Reapers stopped.  Some squad mates die but the survivors ride off into the sunset (or get the girl or whatever is appropriate - house on Rannoch, blue babies, forming a new A-Team with Zaeed etc.)
6. The Independance Day - Epic success, Reapers stopped and everyone that made it to the final battle survives.

Each would be followd by an epilogue.  Even 'Critical Mission Failure' would let us know if anyone found Liara's time capsule and learned from Shepard and stopped the Reapers in the next cycle.

Sigh, another reason for me not to buy any gaming publications over here, which mag was it again? will have to check the "big 3s" websites to see their main stances on it.
