I also used to be addicted (still am to a degree) to star wars battlefront 2 *starts remembering the bard's tale after mentioning it in edited post* think I'm going to play that for a bit seeing as I still have it/my ps2 lol :P *knows he'll end up playing everything else he mentioned too*

I always loved playing co-op on battlefront one... ah the load screen... boop boop boop, booop booop booop, baarp... boop boop boop...

I still play both of them occasionally on my xbox :) also I'm 5 minutes or so into the bards tale and am already lol'ing had forgotten about the narrator/bard interactions :)

I'm off for the night. Take care all.
And stay away from my cupcakes dammit! xD

(Also, we should all try and find some games to play MP with this weekend, just for some non-thread related fun).

I don't like the fact that they are insulting my intelligence. I'm not stupid. I don't need clarification or explanation for something obvious.

And if that's how bioware wants to play it, it's their funeral.

And I will say it again: by playing MP you people are part of the problem. I don't' judge anyone, it's just the truth.

This is very good and important video. I was thinking of making a thread about that and that guy said exactly what I was going to post. LOL

I agree with this 100%. It's actually why I refuse to play multiplayer. It may be fun but it's still supporting a game I am highly unhappy with.

Umm, what not playing MP will achieve at this point? They have promised EC and are in the process of making it. I just don't see how playing/not playing MP affects anything.

We've already done a boycott on one of their events and it showed; turn on/ turn off......

I've paid for it - I enjoy MP; as much as single player story?  No; but I can't subagate another one of my shepards to that ending until .......EC so I play MP with friends.....

Look on the bright side ! MP is still better than the random-turret-scenes that every game has to have nowadays...

"Please remember to set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options" lets them know whether or not ur playing MP or not.  EA just love their stats.

Everyone is entitled to do what they want to do whether to play or not, it's up to that individual.  The reason I did the on/off weekend was to let them know that SP is still important.

At this point - probably nothing. In long terms a lot. But for this to work we need to be united if we want a change.
The retake movement proves that we can affect the the gaming world.
So my question to you is why support this by spending time and money on a feature (MP)  that is responsible for the mass effect 3's failure? (aside from the fact that you and many others liked the multiplayer and I understand that)
The guy from the above video explains exactly what I'm trying to say here. With the diffence that he is talking about DLC's. But the things are relatively the same.

And for me the EC is just a desperate attempt from Bioware to come out as the good guys at the end. The EC will be disappointing. We know it. They know it. For me the EC is just the final insult.

Peace. Image IPB

I don't think MP is responsible for anything. It was handled by a different dev team, and I do feel it's a great addition to the series. So that's why, I enjoy it, and I think it has next to nothing to do with the SP campaign and its shortcomings.

And as I have said time, and time, and time again, I refuse to judge EC before playing it.

thats my approach for the EC, also the only thing the MP did to affect the SP (IMO) was to "force" you into it if you wanted the best ending http://masseffect.wi...ct_Team_Assault was the basis for MP in ME3 btw, as for time and money i only spend my time there as i do not buy the packs/obvious money grab attempt lol, gotta admit i hated the whole idea of MP in ME3 with a passion when they first announced it but its a pretty fun thing to play with friends/put a couple hours into here and there and yeah it was handled by another team

A little bit of info on EA and their forecast for the year. Sounds like they are bunkering down on digital distribution~Translation, they are going to cut more parts out of finished games to sell later.

http://www.digitaltr...ture-aaa-games/

40% of ME3 buyers bought From Ashes~Translation, they are going to cut more parts out of finished games to sell later.

I'm seeing a pattern here.

Well that's only in EA's favour. You know how many people are thinking that the only way to get their money's worth is by playing the MP?
And I will tell you how EA sees this:

Ok. Looks like the players prefer to play the MP insteed of the singleplayer to get their money's worth out of the game. This is SUCCESS! That means we will be making more MP DLC because that's what the people want (think is worth the money). And of course it's a LOT cheeper than developing SP. Double WIN! EAt this you chumps!

And that also reminds me of the Day-1-DLC and how angry we were. And how this crossed the line.
And after we saw the ending (which was intentionally bad + the fact that It couldn't be any better with the limited budget and development time *another DOUBLE WIN for EA*) we all started to begging them to release a "NEW ENDING DLC" and that we will gladly pay for it! Image IPB

By the look of this their social experiment was a success. And they will continue with their business practises if we don't do something.

Being done by a different dev team is irrelevant. it took resources away from the SP game. Resources that may have been the deciding factor that gave us this ending, and resulted in a rushed product. The success of MP gives them more excuses to focus more on MP and less on SP story.

It also gives them an excuse to try and nickel and dime us more.
