Ahm, so they can fix the War Assets issue?

If they think I've forgotten, I haven't. Those numbers have to be fixed, or how else are people supposed to get the breathing scene when EA shuts down the MP server?

I totally forgot to mention this. I guess it's because I used gibbed to alter the EMS and it wasn't an issue for me to get the breathing scene. But I feel sorry for the PS3 players. Image IPB

Being done by a different dev team is irrelevant. it took resources away from the SP game. Resources that may have been the deciding factor that gave us this ending, and resulted in a rushed product. The success of MP gives them more excuses to focus more on MP and less on SP story.

It also gives them an excuse to try and nickel and dime us more.

Yeah this is what I was trying to say.

Chobot: "who are you?"
StarChobot: "I am the Catalyst" you know what, i think thats the only thing that would make the ending even worse lmao

Just stop playing MP. They turned KOTOR into an MMO, they turned Mass Effect, a single player rpg, into Halo. They are doing this because people go, "well the single player sucks, I'll play MP"

Then they see a spectre pack for 200 Bioware points, and go" well it's only 3 bucks, and I'll have that awesome weapon." So they look at those statistics and say, why spend all that money on a single player rpg, when they'll pay us 15 dollars a month for some cartoon grind fest, or they let us nickel and dime them on a tacked on MP to a game that didn't even warrant it.

Eventually everygame will be MW3. a 6 hour ****ty campaign with subscription based MP because that's what gamers are allowing.

So how about those of us who actually like to play MP games? We should stop that too because in your opinion it's a slippery slope to the end of gaming?

As long as they leave me out of it! Unless they're building a Mako IRL... Now that would be an awesome project to work on! Image IPB

Exactly! Bioware keeps talking about their Artistic Integrity... But what about our Artistic Integrity? My AI doesnt allow Starbrat to exist... Why force Starbrat on us? Image IPB

I can't answer for him, but I know that's not what I'm saying.  I"m saying that they should keep the MP games MP and the SP games SP, they appeal to different crowds.  I hate MP games, I don't buy them I don't play them, so when you take a game that I love, like ME and turn it into a MP game, you just killed the game for me.  I don't want to see the gaming industry go down either path.  I know there are people who like MP games, and that's great for them, and I want to see them get all the MP games they want.  However, at the same time I want the SP games that I like.  What I am seeing is more and more MP games and fewer true SP games out there, so at this moment the industry seems to be on the other side of that slippery slope.

sample responses to that:

"building an IRL Mako was my interpretation of one of the project write-ups we have going on behind the scenes"
"i can't say anything, but it could have something to do with a Mako but who knows! You can speculate on the meaning of my response if you'd like"

If I may point out with this kind of thinking there is absolutely nothing we can do for this matter. With this line of thinking we must start to with hold our wallets from them. So you propose to us that we should stop caring about this francise?

I think the point that is being made is that many good SP games are becoming a MP or MMO to please those who like to play online, and it is neglecting those who have been loyal fans since the first game on the franchise came out, and do not like to play online or do not have access to internet. There is a reason why I play ME and not Halo...:?

edit: and what Kyria said. I agree SP should remain SP and MP should remain MP

Oh, I was talking about consoles (I don't play on PC).
When you play on the Xbox, you really don't need internet access. And when you download patches, it takes like...5sec. When you live in a dorm, like I do, you have a limit of bandwith and playing online is out of question, unless I want to have internet for one day and spend the rest of the week with no internet access. :(

^This and this. Mass Effect was a single player rpg. There are tons of great multiplayer games out there, and less and less great single player rpgs because the developers want to attract those MP wallets.

So they neglect the single player, spend resources that would otherwise have gone to single player, and use it to tack on a MP. I'm all for people liking MP games, god speed. I prefer single player games. When developers take single player games and turn them into MP games, simply to cash in more, I have a problem with it.

They could have easily made KOTOR a single player RPG, and then did an MMO spinoff. Instead they canceled the rpg altogether to spend those resources on a bloated MMO that is dwindling in subscriptions every day.

They easily could have used the resources spent on MP for ME3's single player, who knows, with those funds we could have seen female species. Weekes said it was due to resources that it didn't get done. We could have seen Tali's face rendered, we could have seen more than just eavesdropping delivery quests. Who knows, the fact is MP took away resources that could have otherwise gone to ME3's story.

Ahh... Well... From what ive been seeing about the gaming community and the games being developed is that we're being overrun by 10-yr olds who only play multiplayer because they dont understand the value of the story being told... For some games MP is a bonus, not a requirement...
