So we can't get the ending we want after all?

I think the point that is being made is that many good SP games are becoming a MP or MMO to please those who like to play online, and it is neglecting those who have been loyal fans since the first game on the franchise came out, and do not like to play online or do not have access to internet. There is a reason why I play ME and not Halo...
edit: and what Kyria said. I agree SP should remain SP and MP should remain MP
I don't think they turn great games to MP and MMO to please those who like to play online. They are trying to force everybody into online gaming. The reasons are well known.
And this is a question for Atrocity.
Do you think you will be able to play ME3 lets say after 3 years? (it might happen sooner since many people lost interest in the game, and EA will not keep something that isn't profitable) When EA stop supporting the game and there are no servers? Do you think you'll be able to get the full experiance from the singleplayer when it depends on the MP and you can't play multiplayer anymore? Not to mention the DLC autorization....

I'm pretty sure EA Attack Panda is omnipresent, like Santa. How else would he be able to get from Japan where a kid is bad mouthing EA so he can kick him in his baby maker, only to wind up in France immidiately after when a young woman is telling her friend how EA ripped her off, so he can break a baggette over her head.

A little bit of info on EA and their forecast for the year. Sounds like they are bunkering down on digital distribution~Translation, they are going to cut more parts out of finished games to sell later.

40% of ME3 buyers bought From Ashes~Translation, they are going to cut more parts out of finished games to sell later.
I'm seeing a pattern here.
That would also imply that at some point they were finished and chopped up. Not the case here, except for Ashes.

They also have subscriptions, which gives you bonuses, and unlocks all of the areas completely.
I play LOTRO every once and a while. And it's fun. I don't join guilds or groups cause I have no desire to, but the game is fun for little bits of play time. And they are successful, they just had their five year anniversary festival, which i only caught the last day, so i'm a little miffed about it.
SWTOR could pick up this same policy, it only nickel and dimes the people willing to be nickel and dimed, it gives people who wouldn't spend 15 dollars a month to play it (I.E. me) a chance to try it out, and maybe attract more paying customers.
I bet it would flourish, instead of dwindle.
I beta'd for SWTOR, the biggest redeeming factor about the game was that it was based on KOTOR, and the pvp was kind of fun, otherwise, it was a run-of-the-mill MMO. Nothing stood out about it.
I also beta'd for LOTRO, the book instances were a blast because they included the story characters.
I also beta'd for Matrix online, which I thought was the best mmo I've ever played, the community was awesome, the combat was fun beyond anything I've encountered in other mmos, and the story when characters from the movies would show up were massive events.
SWTOR needs something to separate it from the pack, I haven't seen them deliver yet.

I think SWTOR should take a page from LOTRO. They made it free to play, and you can buy turbine points to buy things. It's not necessary, it's just there. You can play the game all the way to the max level and never spend one dime on anything.
