I just love how corrupt gameinformer still is. In this months issue, they try to win back fans with an article on page 21 saying how game companies only want our money and don't care about anything else. Then there is not even a mention of ME3 for the rest of the issue. Until you get to the end,on page 97 (second to the last page) they give ME3 a 10 and say it was one of the most 'intricately crafted' games ever made. It's good to see that BW is still hurting for good reviews and are paying off everyone they can to get a good review.
I agree that 'most' of the game is one of the best games i've ever played. But there is still that last 10 minutes of crap at the end of it. Next time, put a review out thats not glossing over the crappy parts and only talking about the good ones.
I also noticed, you know how they take games and give each part of it an overall score. Like the story gets a 5, the controls a 3, ect. Has anyone else noticed they are skipping that when it comes to ME3?
I tend to ignore game critics that give games a perfect score. There is no perfect game. It could be the most fun you ever had playing, but there is always a downside to it, or something that was done poorly. I also ignore game critics that give games a 2 or 3 score, which gamespot loves to do to small developers that can't afford to advertise on their site. There are always redeeming qualities just as there are problems.
I remember when DAO came out. At the time, it was as close to perfect as it could get for me, but there were still things that bugged the **** out of me. Biggest gripe, the fade quest. It was the most boring thing I've ever encountered in a game, and it lasted what seemed to be forever. I downloaded the mod that skips it entirely, and the game was so much more enjoyable. Also the constant running back and forth in missions, how many times to I need to run back and forth through the Dalish forest, and there's only one exit, on the far other side.
And I remember when ME1 came out. It was like god parted the clouds and handed me the game himself. And then I got into the elevator. and another elevator, and then another elevator. I loved the Mako, I loved driving around on those planets, looking up at the giant suns. It was amazing, and I still love it. Then I got to that one green planet, I used to have the name memorized, but it escapes me. The one that was all mountains, and no matter how hard you tried, it took you forever to get through it.
Long story short (too late) a person who gives a game a perfect score can't be taken seriously. They are either biased, or poor critics.
