I played WoW for 5 years, have some great memories and made some great friends!  I switched to TOR, but since, you know...even that has gone stale, as you may have noticed with my lack of being in game. :P

I can't even bring myself to login to WoW anymore, I mean it even surpasses burnt out...and it's a shame because there are still people there that I love, so much history.../sigh

Well since I haven't logged on in a week, no I wouldn't probably notice.  I have the same thing, I love all my old guild mates in WoW but I'll be danged if I can make myself log into it.

Yeah, it's weird, I mean I've been through burnout, I am/was a healer in a raiding guild for years and that completely burned me out, but this is different now, it's run it's course you know?  It's just not part of me anymore...I've changed...

You should so come and play GW2 with your sisters. :P

Yeah only job worse than a healer in a raiding guild is a main tank... /sigh  I loved tanking but I'll be danged if I didn't get yelled at for everything that went wrong.

I am looking at GW 2 I have been for a couple of months now, we'll see what happens and what I can do when it comes out.

You like mass mayhem? Ever play Realm of the Mad God? :D

Sorry not heard of it.  I did enjoy the fact I wasn't forced to team up and it was fun organised chaos.

Realm of the Mad God is an... interesting take on MMOs, if I could call it that. If you're familiar with ORIGINAL Gauntlet, like Atari / Arcade / NES Gauntlet, you know the basic play style. And graphic style. It's perma-death, and the fastest way to level is basically get everyone on the map (85 people, I think?) all in one long chain of little pixelated avatars running in circles spamming attacks in every direction.

Edit: It's a microtransaction game, and it's on Steam now

i was both/everything in WoW lol (depending on what i was needed to be for w/e, was a druid and had armor sets for every spec) not sure if i liked one more than the other as i liked them both equally though i did love the occasions when i was able to go on raids etc as a boomkin Image IPB never got yelled at or anything when things went wrong when i was main tank or healer though

random but another druid and i (i was tank/feral spec at the time and he was heals ) use to go through the old raids together lol, we killed Moroes in Karazhan and a couple other bosses, did some things in Molten Core, got someone to open the thing in that one place (the Leroy Jenkins raid zone) and i use to solo Onyxia just for fun as boomkin and feral spec Image IPB

Our MT was our guild leader and also my ex, I don't think anyone would have been brave enough to have a go at him (he was a damn good tank so no need to really), it also meant people never told me off!  GM's girlfriend was a good spot to have as a healer...(I was damn good too though, so again, no need!)

You should really...it makes sense...

In my first guild in WoW our MT was our guild leader and his wife was the Warlock leader, and I was a Warlock at the time.  They were also real life friends of mine.

In my second guild, after WotLK came out (I had raided with them for a couple years back when I was with my original guild) Our MT who had recruited me, went to play Warhammer Online - well that left us with a missing MT spot, and my Paladin just happened to be Prot spec, and I had done some tanking on her and on alliance side for another guild I was in, so I slipped into the roll.  My healer was my husband at the time, which made things really easy.

Yup there's something to be said for MT and MT healer couples, we were an awesome team, it helps when you're in the same room...

I agree mostly with Astralify here. While I don't think MP was the direct cause for the failures of the game, I also do think that it is a symptom of the overall problem. Yes another dev team did the MP, however, what if that time and money had instead been allocated to the SP dev team? I don't know anymore. The more and more I look at this the more and more this seems like a system that is starting to spiral out of control. In the end the players are the ones that pay for it.
*snip for length*

That's exactly how I feel. They spent money on multiplayer; money that could've been invested in the SP dev team. Yes, different teams, but the money for MP had to come from somewhere and instead of going to the main game, it went to MP...:?

Problem is - I don't think it did - way discussions have gone with people that work in the business.  Each department will have their set budgets - so ME single player had a set budget - same for MP; those budgets didn't effect each other........time though did.......and that was the major issue you can feel in the game; specially in the ending....

They ran out of time

Mean. You're not supposed to point out ambiguous structures from posts of tired people typing literally from the bed. The games. They're not my thing at all. :?

Slightly back on topic guys - EA has released figures saying that 40% of customers bought the From Ashes dlc in the first week.

Sorry... I guess im still trying to annoy you? But as for the games... Every MMO is just a bit better when you're playing with your friends Image IPB And yes, I could probably find an MMO that would suit your personal taste of avoiding all the people Image IPB
