Ugh... People, why on earth did you buy it? (I'm not talking about people in this thread. I'm aware almost all of you got it with your collector's editions). Removing a key element right from the main game and charging you $10 for it is unaccaptable. Don't buy into their game here. The only way to win that game is not to play into it.Phoenix NL wrote...
Slightly back on topic guys - EA has released figures saying that 40% of customers bought the From Ashes dlc in the first week.

They're creating a system of exploiation and seeing how far they can push it. Right now, they're not seeing any push back from the players. The two things being sacrificed here are the games' quality and your money.

And then people were outraged by the discovery that it was on the disc to begin with. If the execs at EA have two brain cells to rub together they should realize that the Day 1 DLCs are going to sell LESS, not MORE, as the practice grows. 40% is a GOOD thing? On the most anticipated game of the year? Really, that's HORRIBLE. On a lesser game, without so many diehard fans (many of whom are no longer fans NOW), what percentage do you think will buy launch DLC? 25%? 15%? Less?

don't they still deny that or have they not said either way?(can't remember so if they said its on disc themselves disregard next bit) because thats what pisses me off just a tad more than this already low act, instead of owning up to it and going "alright, alright you caught me, im busted wont happen again" they go "no, he's not, he's also not a key element to the game/needed for the full experience"sagevallant wrote...

Hell, the beginning and even the whole of the Thessia mission is different if you bring him along.
I'm a CE owner, but even I find that having to pay for that whole On-Disc DLC, disgusting, when he has more dialogue scenes than Ashley/Kaidan did in the whole game.
Seriously, two characters from ME1 get their dialogue and scenes cut to hell, meanwhile a frickin "DLC" character gets more interaction.
Just, bullcrap...

I mean, I could go on and on about this whole damn thing, and still not be done.
I'll eagerly be waiting for the EC(I won't be purchasing, not until I see it on YT and decide whether it's worth it or not), though I know it's still going to suck no matter or how much "clarity" and "closure" they try to pack into it, because the ending(s) still cheapens ME1 and ME2 and makes them both totally useless in the long run.
They're better off admitting when they're wrong and just fixing the damn thing.

That's my SECOND major beef with this game, especially since Ashley was my LI and I stayed faithful to her on all my playthroughs.
Well, when the developers said people who were faithful to their ME1 LI would be rewarded, I guess they meant that only for Liara.
Again, the same with Javik, I had more interaction with her(To the point where it was annoying) than I did with Ash.
