That's true, I have yet to hear definitive reasons from anyone as to why they liked / enjoyed the ending. I don't begrudge them their ability to like it but I would like to understand their reasons.Lestatman wrote...

To the person who created this poll I have just one question for you..... Are you serious?
http://social.biowar...26/polls/33821/
I always thought the question should be the other way "Give reasons why you like the ending?"
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Excellent! now, for some self-promotion!
Hello all, I just wanted to run by some of my thoughts now that we are nearly two-and-a-half months into this ending thing with ME3. Speculations and long reading ahoy!I think that EA wanted Bioware to make a Gears of War killer game, instead of Mass Effect 3. In statements, EA mentioned that it wanted none of their games to be single player only, and it shows with the upcoming Dragon Age, and the present release of ME3. EA has been persistently trying to one-up Call of Duty with Medal of Honour, Crysis, and etcetera. I believe this why Mass Effect 3 feels much more paired down than the previous two episodes, EA wanted the same direction as other multiplayer games. In this sense, they wanted a pared-down single player, and “addictive” multiplayer, similar to Call of Duty and Gears of War. This is why many ion Bioware/EA act ‘annoyed’ with their customers, because they want everyone to forget about single player, and go shoot folks online. EA has the multiplayer checklist of guns, team action, upgrades, etcetera, and they are surprised to see loyal customers leave such an offering.
I believe EA/Bioware underestimated how attached people are to the franchise as a single player entity—with a focus on characterization--and not as an online shooter like other titles, such as Battlefield. Case in point, Battlefield 3 had an underwhelming single player, however, anyone with reliable Internet connections, and an affinity for multiplayer has moved online. In summary, I think EA wanted ME3 to be the “Gears Killer” and intentionally made Bioware focus less on the single player portion to challenge Gears in the multiplayer market. The companies underestimated just how attached the customers were to the universe of Mass Effect, and how they would negatively affect the value of the title. Thoughts on this? Sorry for such a long paragraph, I just wanted to get this out there.![]()

There's nothing that can be done.
Everyone is still playing MP, even the people who are supposedly holding the wallet. They'll keep logging into MP and giving EA the statistics they need to kill SP games for good, they'll prmote their character, get on leader boards, and buy spectre packs.. If they see that people are still playing MP even though they are "protesting" the game, then they know it's just all talk, and they can continue to cram this garbage down our throats.
We had a discussion about this the other day, and of the 30 or so people that were on, I think myself and one other were the only people not playing MP every day.

I do not really play a lot of Mass Effect since I completed the game, because everytime I start it, I think something like that: Why do I even play this??? Nothing matters at all.... Then I play something different.

That is sad. I have long ago returned my copy to the rental store--luckily I never bought the game. I have never touched multiplayer, and it is depressing to see that my theory of the "Gears Killer" turned out to be correct.

If they fix the ending, I'd buy Mass Effect themed app like this. I would happily run from husks, marauders, cannibals and banshees to save the Earth

Tis fair enough, he did say he was going to see if playing the games in close proximity would change his opinion of the ending, I.e seeing all the stuff that was not wrapped up... caring more about the crew maybe...
