Masswikia:

"According to Samara, these are the only three living Ardat-Yakshi. However, less severe cases are supposedly more common, including up to 1% of the population."

Though at what point they said that 1% thing is a mystery to me. Probably in the codex, which I rarely bother to read.

Then again if the sign of an Ardat-Yakshi is the unfortunate habit of killing sex partners, and only the lethal mutation of the condition causes this, how on earth they figure out the less severe cases is beyond me. Logic says gene profile recognition is out of the question, because then it could be recognized and treated before maturity.

Anyhow, I guess the surviving daughter is doing fine, she stroke me as a capable lady.

By space magic?

I have no clue who he is, and frankly the ME books I have tried to read have been so boring, and the style so pedestrian I haven't got beyond page 30. :?

Hmm... If Ardat Yakshi kill people by mating with them, what happens if a less severe case mates with someone? Does the person just die slower?

Debating on whether to leave the line.

I'm tired of nothing. We know nothing about the EC and it's been months, no new news coming when I check everyday, and some fans are very much getting on my nerves.

Wikia:
Although the condition does not harm the asari, during mating the Ardat-Yakshi's nervous system completely overpowers and dominates that of her mates, causing hemorrhaging in the victim's brain and ultimately death in extreme cases. As a result, the Ardat-Yakshi becomes smarter, stronger and deadlier after each encounter. Ardat-Yakshi also have the innate ability to dominate the minds of others. Falere, Rila and Morinth, all daughters of Samara, have the lethal version of this condition.

Since being an YA does not kill the Asari herself, I'd say given the context the word lethal here suggests only fully mutated YAs kill their partners. No idea what the less mutated do. Maybe just leave their partners retarded or insane or something.

So Who all felt really good about sticking it to Kai Leng on Cronos Station? Also did you use the Renegade Interupt, or wait it out? OR did you do both?

And my evaluation comes from a gal who reads SW books, which are the paragon of pedestrian :')
I used renegade interrupt, even though my Shep is so good she barfs kittens and rainbows. It was cool, but much ruined by the fact I still had no idea who the Magical Anime Ninja was, and thus no emotional attachment. I feel they should've maybe fleshed him out in ME3, or left him out alltogether.

Killing baddies is satisfactionary only if you feel something towards them. Case in point: Arl Rendon Howe. The killing scene/battle in DAO was pretty meh, but it felt so good because the game had built that emotional relationship between the Cousland and him until that point :)

I had a really weird conversation yesterday with a friend that I hadn't talked to in a couple of months. He's never played the Mass Effect, yet he was the one detailing to me what was wrong with the ending. When I finished the first two games last year, I couldn't shut up about how awesome they were, and offered him my copies to play, which he was too busy to do.

Yet as I said, without playing them, he was telling me about the ghost child, the three stupid choices, the fact that joker ran away, the absurd synthetics vs. organics circular logic, and he even somehow began outlining the basis of the indoctrination theory. I asked him how the hell he knows all that, and he said he had a passing interest in the game (played the demo), and that by spending time on the net the stories of the endings awfulness just came to him.

The ending's pure fail transcends a lot of things, apparently. Luckily mocking it always makes things better, lol. I told him about how the rest of the game failed in almost everything else as well, and how it makes it so there's simply no purpose to anything you do in the first two games... But it's not as easy to laugh off all the other's games shortcomings, and Bioware's standing position during and after this whole thing.

It's not even about sides, it's about hate.

There was a thread where someone specifically insulted Gamestop employees just because the girl asked about the ending said she liked the game, and the ending.

Guess what?  I work at Gamestop, and I talk about the ending all the time; what I liked, and what I very much didn't.  But that's me.  And that was her, the girl asked.  That was her opinion.

Instead of debating or discussing it like rational adults, they rush to anonymity of the internet to call her stupid, and state that all Gamestop employees do not know games.  Well, Nintendo started by making watches, and Pong, Dragon's Lair and Pac-Man are on display at the Smithsonian.  There.  I know about games as much as many, if not mroe than most.

I'm just getting so tired of the negativity.  I want more closure, but it's getting to the poin that it's not worth coming here anymore.  Only thing keeping me is the Blue Baby Thread and other humor ones.

My eardrums take enough abuse as-is, thanks.
Edit : Plus there are system differences to take into account as well.

Sadly after tomorrow (Monday) I might not be on again for a while due to finally taking my laptop in to the shop to get the screen fixed.
I will try and get on via my PS3 or my dad's PS Vita.

Just quoting this so everyone understands what I am about to say lol.
My laptop is still in the shop, but I finally got my new one today anway. So I shall be on daily again now.

Though as for this moment I am actually heading off to bed just now because I really am tired.

I will be back as a regular again tomorrow.

Oh honey, I don't need to swear on any level easier than gold. I'm a non-stoppable killing machine on silver. When not being surprised by Banshee vacuum-kill. ^_^

mage110011 wrote...

No, because Ardat-Yakshi can control their partners/victims, as we saw with Morinth. No reason that wouldn't apply with insane too. A bit like that theory about undead following their loved ones since that's the only clear bond/line of thought/goal in their mind.
