Lol, took me longer than a minute to read every codex entry...
So I don't think I want to see anything that makes it seem pointless

Yea, but how does he get through the Omega 4 Relay? In ME2 they say that its just black holes and exploding suns on the other side of it... And the only reason the Collector base could exist there is because of advanced shielding.
Actually it just makes fun of the major story-points of ME and ME2BigglesFlysAgain wrote...

Well... It still doesnt exactly explain how he got his hands on the human rEAper... Cause when my Shep blows something up, it doesnt leave debris... It just disintegrates into nothingness...Ohpus wrote...

To be fair they didn't really say just the Collector base. Mordin said something along the lines of the Repears were advanced enough to create a safe zone on the other side of the relay. If it was just advanced shielding on the base keeping them safe you could say that the crew of the Normandy would have be irradiated the moment they stepped through the relay or when the shiels went down crashing into the base.
In the comics it was explained that Cerebus was sending shuttles throught the O4 relay for some time. One of them was hijacked by "new reaper" forces coming from the base and ran amock on Omega. One can only assume that TIM got the specs from EDI since he was literally watching everything on-board the Normandy II.
So from that perspective bringing Shep back was only to get access to the Collector tech in the base. Not sure if it was a bargain price or not.

I still believe the line ''Stupid machine! Tell me what I want, or ill blast your virtual ass into actual dust!'' Should have been a dialogue option when talking to starbrat...BigglesFlysAgain wrote...

Ok, on a more silly note...
What would have been everyone's favorite game character from another IP to come in and save the day in a deus ex machina fashion?
Might as well give Gordan freeman my vote, the right man in the wrong place can make all the difference after all...
