I killed him~! Either that or its Hitman... Though I'm pretty sure we'd turn on each other and try to kill each other, so let's just go with I killed the Duke and got away with it.mage110011 wrote...

This. I have nothing to add, I just wanted to stress this. But if they continue to put in less effort, yet continue to see more money, they will not do anything to change this.Laterali wrote...

Story about what makes a game a hit, with ME3 as an example.
The thing that gets me about the article, is he claims what made Mass Effect 3 great is what I thought they neglected the most.
He talks about the "choose your own adventure" aspect, which is bogus. No matter what you do, the ending remains the same. It doesn't matter if you choose the Quarians or the Geth, or save them both. It doesn't matter if you cured the genophage or sabotaged it. You ended up in the same place regardless, the only difference being a number on a screen that really didn't affect anything in the end.
He says that they may have alienated players for their lack of run and gun shooter style, which to me it was more of run and gun than it used to be.
Then he talks about all the choices available with the Dialogue Wheel, which we had less choice in ME3 than in ME1 or ME2.
Now Witcher 2 did all of those things right.
Their choose your own adventure actually had consequences. In act 2 you had some serious decisions to make, and what you chose completely changed the rest of the game, all the way to the end. And then you could make more choices once you were on that path, which would completely change the end again.
Witcher 2 was more action-adventure than Witcher 1, but the combat still had more strategy and tactics involved than ME3,which consisted of what useless mods you put on your sniper rifle.
And the Witcher 2 had so many dialogue options you could go completely awesome, completely cold, neutral, hell, you could completely ignore the end boss and be like, frak it.
Pretty sure that Witcher 2 did everything this article is praising ME3 for better. I think next time Bioware is at PAX, they should stop by CD Projekt's booth and takesome notes.

The fact that the paragon/blue has TIM and that renagade/red has Anderson mean that it was bad writing from Bioware like some people say?

I agree.
if you want to inflate the thread just to hit a specific page, then you could at least talk about how Diablo 3's metacritic score is lower than ME3's because they made it mandatory to be logged into a Blizzard server for a single player game, and the servers keep going down...

I will bite. How about the reaction from EA/Bioware? They have not stated anything official for weeks, do you think they still care about ME3? Are we truly just a small cult group now? Did everyone else abandon EA/ Bioware in disgust? I fear I will do so too shorty, despite the great folk that post on here. It seems absolutely pointless.

I don't think anyone has really forgotten about ME3. The only reason I noticed the Diablo 3 debacle is because it was specifically mentioned in an article that it was currently lower than ME3, and made reference to the ending.
I can't blame Bioware for not speaking up about the ending, everything they said on twitter was dissected, disseminated, and then turned and twisted back on them. Usually from people that don't even peruse this thread.
I'm glad gamers are going to such great lengths to call these developers on their bull**** lately. They've all gotten too big for their britches. They think they are untouchable, infallable, and a class above us, when in fact they've been lazy, moody, and just plain money hungry.
If every big title this year is protested the way its been happening, they will be forced to reevaluate how they do business. Their biggest asset is gamer's word of mouth, and they are beginning to learn that lesson hard.

I agree with your points, however, I think everyone would benefit if EA/Bioware spoke to us like adults, rather than children on Christmas Eve. If they plainly stated that they do not wish to elaborate too much on the content, and gave us a tentative release date, I feel it would improve things somewhat. It seems like they are just waiting for us to go away or to buy multiplayer rubbish. I apologize in advance if I sound a bit curt in my message.

I agree. I can't blame them for not doing it as I said, but I think if they weren't so hush hush about it, and just said, hey, we know you're pissed, we're going to make this right, it would alleviate a lot of tension between them and us, their customers.
Right now, it's more like being on stuck on hold with Customer Service for 2 months, listening to that goddamn elevator music.
I still think it's hilarious that Diablo 3 is getting the business, Blizzard must be freaking dumb. They had record pre-orders, just crazy amounts of hype riding on this like decade long wait for this game, and they can't even get servers ready. Did they blow all that pre-order money on hookers and cocaine instead of servers or what?

And remember this? Yep, you guessed it, Artistic Integrity.
On a lighter note, I've finally received all of my materials for mold casting, and I intend to attempt to make an N7 rifle. Most likely my attempts will end in lots of fire, booze, and enough obscenity laced rants that my neighbors will be phoning the police.
