I've finally started playing a different game... well two actually, Baldur's Gate 2 with a single mod (Chloe) on the comp, and Halo Reach on the Xbox

Sorry to rip this statement out of it's context, but they've repeatedly made statements about how they aren't going to change the actual ending. They've been fairly straightforward with it. They haven't given themselves any wiggle room at all by stating specifically that there won't even be additions.

So I think it's entirely fair for someone to have no hope in it at this point. Unless they really like cutscenes and coverup explanations.

Also CP's post was not create dialogue. What conversation can be generated from something like that? He's playing it up for answers he wants to hear, so he could use them as stats that he can hand in. Just look at the poll.

That said, I don't think it would make any sense to ban him from the forums (why on earth would they), and those comments being thrown around at HTL are completely unfair.

Teehee, I had a not so bright silver crew last night. I ended up topping the scoreboard with my GI (one of the players was a lvl 10 Turian with a Geth Rifle, so I figured I'd end up carrying, otherwise would've lvld my AV), with 50k more than the others. Apparently that pissed them off, because in the beginning of wave 9 they all started shooting me, and not by accident. Well, I made a point of just sitting on one side of the map, killing only the troops running into me during whole wave 9, listening to how all of them died one by one due to their own incompetence. They did not complain anymore when I jumped back into the game on wave 10. 

The map was Dagger, so all they had to do was to sit in that overlook, since I was holding one of the exits clean. You'd think a Turian Soldier, Geth Engineer and Batarian Sentinel could hold on their own agains silver cerb on that map. Yup, that's what one would think.

Seriously, what is it with some people, if someone carried me through whole match, I wouldn't complain.

Yes they've said they're not changing the endings that we have but that still leaves room for other things to be added around that. My point was more that we don't have enough facts about what we are getting to make a proper judgement or have an informed opinion on.

As far as CP is concerned it is not the first that he has posted on HTL and the last time he was opening dialogue so it was more of a general statement than one specifically dealing just with that poll.

Sounds like a group of people who had a little too much faith in their own MP abilities.  Well that and ignoring the whole concept of team work.

Yup, that's what I figured. Incompetent, there is no reason at all why 3 players couldn't hold that position, especially when the engineer and sentinel were level 18 and 17 respectfully. Had I been mean, I wouldn't have bothered killing the Phantoms alone either, but rather just cloaked and let them handle it themselves.

Possibly, but fans gain nothing by shutting BW members out either.
Since, despite all the Misery references thrown at the early stage of the outrage, I still don't have Hudson as a hostage in my basement, we/HTL-ers can't affect the behavior of the dev team or BW PR people, we need to keep all channels of communication open. Whether BW chooses to make use of those channels is up to them, but the possibility must exist, if for no other reason than the moral highground so we can pat each other on the back

Add around what? I'm bringing up the same tweet again, but there's "not a change or an addition". They're "just showing you what you had to infer previously", by giving us "more to visually process".

Shepard still limps in, still hears the ludicrous circular logic from the ghost child, and is still forced to into making a decison that he/she would never do, and permanently screws up the galaxy. Who gives a crap what happens afterwards. What do we need the EC for then? So we can hear Hackett shout at Joker to run away? So we can hear them make up an excuse as to why the relays didn't cause a supernova? So we can see them expand the shepard breathes cutscenes into a stupid ass reunion sequence? They're building around what again? There's nothing to build around when you keep the focus around the aspect that destroys anything. I see no reason to expect anything, when they're telling me to not expect anything to happen.

I don't need my Magic Party Happy Time ™ ending if it's achieved by ridiculous means. What does is accomplished? It's likely they'll insert such things while they try to explain away plotholes with stuff they make up. I'm sure they were "listening", while just focusing on the oft repeated things that are easiest to patch away. This whole last part is speculation, but why do I have any reason to expect differently?

As for CP, he's a PR guy, and he worded the poll in a specific way that removes real discussion. Also, what is the point of dialogue if they state that they're not actually doing anything about it. Are they just wanting to hear to what point they have to patchwork the plot holes until we go away? That's how he phrased that question the other time he tried to generate "discussion". What does it matter what we would've wanted to see if you're not going to bother implementing those suggestions. It's a discussion sure, of the most useless variety.

When I'm simultaneously ignored and talked down to, my reaction is no longer to wait for the "facts". There's nothing to wait for. I've gotten past that point where I was frustrated with Bioware hoping they can turn this game around. I've long since dropped them from consideration of future purchases of any kind. Have moved on to that phase where I lol at everything they do.

Its a Liaramancer thread... Speaking of which I've noticed alot more bashing of LI's recently... Like there was a Liara Indoc Theory, where Liara is the one Indoctrinated, not Shep... Or the fights between Ashleymancers and just about everyone else... then there's the stuff that happens with Talimancers.... and yeah.... The LI's are a really touchy subject, oddily enough, personally I would have thought that everyone could just get along and apriciate what everyone else likes... but no...
