Listen closely.

Yeah, but is that during the middle of the game, or the very end? Context matters.

You're not listening closely.

In a way the developers never imagined gamers to make so many different types of saves with different choices and now they were faced with the complexity of making it appease to everyone and hence there is a problem. So they have decided to finally give up and do it their way.
Oh wait, kill off everyone, no more complexity remains at all

IF the Citadel is the key then earth has countless nukes. Slap five thermonuclear bombs inside the Citadel and blow that thing to dust. Why the idiot buttons resulting in murdering countless more billions? Why the idiot Christmas tree lights cut scenes to me is the height of laziness bordering on stupidity that will get you bed and lodging in your nearest insane asylum.

No, see, now you're thinking with logic. Space Magic doesn't use logic.

LOL - well then if the Roadrunner can live through countless explosions, make perfect outlines in the earth after falling from out of the coulds - then climb out of that hole - Sheppard rose from the dead so don't kill TIM and just make another Sheppard same as the last Sheppard. Seems better than pick the button and get your favorite Christams color!

It would be interesting if there was a clone of Shepard. It's a good reason to make a ME4. Though, cloning is another cliche.

Will be good idea

This bit of fine music should play at the very end of the game as part of end credits:

Yeah, he says, "We did it." That could mean anything. Like taking out a power line, or killing the Reapers. Who knows.

Well. Guess I'm in acceptance territory now.

"There will be time enough for that now."
"I... I think that ship has sailed.  What about you?  Ever think about settling down?"

Or killing TIM on the Citadel during the mid-game. Anderson is mortally wounded during the mission, and Shepard is comforting him in his last moments.

That's the apparent context for this exchange.

Oh, I would be so very happy, I would buy every single weapon pack, every socks texture for ME3 if his were a sign for a happy end.  :( I would send Mac Walters a christmas card too. :o

Shepard and Anderson's conversation, and the tone of the conversation, would not make the least bit of sense if the reapers were still in the process of exterminating humanity.

I'm listening: 2:02 "...we're almost through this...".

Sorry, but in the context leaked so far, I think it's the dramatic anti-climax right before you talk to this guardian-thing.

That matches up the rumor that you can only get a perfect ending by Anderson dying.

I agree. It actually makes a lot of sense before the end because it is setting up the unprecedented "children are the meaning of Mass Effect" message of the epilogue. (This new "for the children!" theme is also why that little boy died at the very beginning and why the Crucible has the voice of a child... sad day for what Mass Effect used to be. Reminds me of when Star Trek:TNG suddenly became the Wesley Crusher! show... what a nightmare)

I think that you've invested so much mental effort into feeling aggrieved by Bioware, that you're the one in denial.

Ehh... i thought he said it to Anderson because admiral is clearly badly wounded or even dying. And they both wait for help from their allies, evac or somehting. And all that "Guardian thing" is already over.

Oh for crying out...look, this is apparently what happens as has been discussed by the spoiler folks.

This happens on the Citadel, during the "coup" segment after you beat TIM. Anderson's mortally wounded and Shepard's comforting him in his dying moments.

The context from the Prima guide shots is the EMS requirement drops from 5000 to 4000 if you "save" Anderson, implying that there's a choice where Shepard tries to save Anderson but ultimately can't..

Here's my thinking. You don't get 9910 responses and 62508 views on this one threat without folks at BW not noticing. That's just impossible. After all this IS their site and their feedback mechanism. They know the score here on this particular thread. No doubt there is far more than quiet panic spreading through BW even as we speak. They are NOT immune from really bad criticism - and I'm willing to bet bucks there are a whole lot of meetings in progress even as we write. And its only human nature to cast accusing eyes at the crew who came up with this monstrosity - and those who did feel the hostile eyes all over them. That's just natural life. Yes, this WILL sell to a very small minority who believe THEY alone know artsy that has never sold here for the general public. And never will. Even outside reviewers are beginning to rip BW for the awful endings and believe me this WILL grow even more ten fold in intensity. And if anyone at BW has one live brain cell still functioning they damn well know this is just the easy part of this utter disaster. Four or five days after the release the massive Tsunami comes ashore and BW knows it! You'd have to be dead not to bring up this forum and the dangers yet to come.
