Still lingering. Which does not say much for Diablo 3, when I'm only able to stay interested for 30 minutes at a time. Not even out of Act I yet and I've killed over two thousand dudes.

I think the people who were in charge of designing quests for WoW also had a say in the D3 quests. "Hey, go do this thing." *go there* "Sorry, but to do this thing you were told to do you, you must do this other thing." *go there* "Sorry, to do this other thing here you have to go get those two things over there." *gets things, does things, completes original goal* "Sorry, but our princess is in another castle."

lol yeah thats basically it, also first thing i thought when logging in and seeing the character select etc was, "this reminds me of WoW"

Funnily enough, I'm actually enjoying D3. I was one of the (possibly) few that didn't want to see a lot of changes in D3. Though I'm still in Act 1, it's what I needed, insane amounts of hack and slash. That's what I liked about the previous games and also Hellgate: London. The story is a bonus and the quests, well, I'm not frustrated because they are kinda what I expected and I only half pay attention. I get them done during my gleeful bloody rampages. I didn't follow the development of D3 honestly so I don't know about the hype. I wasn't looking for an RPG and the crafting adds a slightly positive element for me tho I'm not as critical of crafting in Diablo as I am in other games. I needed a new mass slaughter game and so far so good.

In the spirit of the thread though, I lurk here every day though I almost never post anymore. I'm just waiting to see what you guys feel about the EC when it comes out as to whether or not I'll even bother.
