So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Yeah, keeping those pages down.
I worked on a paper about social issues called "Mass Effect 3, Consumer Rights, And You."
I wrote about 7 pages. I swear the introduction did not finish till page 3. Little did I know, that the assignment was only supposed to be 3 pages long.
It's hard to explain over 100 hours in under 3 pages. Especially if you wanted to connect to the audience emotionally.
Good luck with the presentation.
as long as its 10+ pages there is no limit, 1 page each for 1+2. 2 pages for the build up(16 different endings) 10 for the game, ? for the ending, ? for the fan backlsash. my heads swimming with ideas.

You know what else annoys me besides all the potholes and lack of choices? The lack of a real good ending, where Shepard survives. Why give it to us in ME2 and take it away in ME3? I mean, I thought the whole point was accomplishing the impossible by working hard. I just learned from ME3 that no matter what I do, I will fail somehow...

Well... They did kill Shep in the start of ME2, but that was well-written! Plus they brought him/her back, so no harm done... And I hate having to bring up how linear the game feels...TamiBx wrote...
Seriously! They made amazing games with more than amazing ending and then...they made ME3.

Also, would it hurt to have a hacking-minigame or 2 in the game?

well some people would have you believe that "we all knew shepard wasn't going to live" ummm really? Odd because i figured my shep was always going to live if i did enough work. Half breaths do not count as "living" for me, also there isn't even a "reapers win" ending its all pretty ridiculous(though there is the green, worst possible ending you could choose option) and thats just a wonderful message you'd want to send to people if you had made ME3 right, no matter what you do you will fail.... if thats what it all comes down to should have changed that thing in ME1 to "many decisions lie ahead, none of them matter" *sigh* what happened to happy/hopeful/uplifting?

i thought of youtube, but i was thinking of 1 page for the main plot peice and the follow on page for how i felt about it, so i figure i would have to play it again then jot down my raw thoughts(make suitable for public at later date) at the end of each piece.

"we all knew shepard wasn't going to live" , Hah, I bet those same people would have said somthing like that if the harry potter books ended in a different way...
Their only argument seems to be that we don't like the ending becuase us poor fragile nerds can't take any more sadness in our pathetic lives...
If he had to die make it for a dam good reason I say, not becuase the hero always dies... It can be a common storytelling device but it is not really grounded in reality, not all victories are by the skin of the teeth... Besides, "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country" That aside, you "Either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villan" If there had been a choice like that It would be somthing worth debating, but no its all the same.

I am firm in my conviction that the story would've been better if Shep died on Thessia. Creates a ton of gameplay problems for the grand finale, but I'm talking strictly story. Could there BE a darker hour than Shep dying without stopping the Reapers?

In fact... we could easily make me3 non canonical... lets all go and play me2 and get the everyone dies ending, so we can't play me3!

You can't import.
I always thought it should start as normal, with Joker in place of Shep... right up until the defense council dies. Joker dies too, game over, the end. Or maybe after sliding down the building...

That's just lame... They could have at least made a scene where joker or your LI speaks with somebody, then comes the reapers and everyone dies...

They couldn't even slap a proper ending on the main game, and you think they had the time to put that in?

Anyone up for building a longboat and rowing to Canada, just to show them what we're made of?
