So we can't get the ending we want after all?

We must set up a beacon, one that will let future civilizations know who we were and what we fought for!

Here's my thinking. You don't get 9910 responses and 62508 views on this one threat without folks at BW not noticing. That's just impossible. After all this IS their site and their feedback mechanism. They know the score here on this particular thread. No doubt there is far more than quiet panic spreading through BW even as we speak. They are NOT immune from really bad criticism - and I'm willing to bet bucks there are a whole lot of meetings in progress even as we write. And its only human nature to cast accusing eyes at the crew who came up with this monstrosity - and those who did feel the hostile eyes all over them. That's just natural life. Yes, this WILL sell to a very small minority who believe THEY alone know artsy that has never sold here for the general public. And never will. Even outside reviewers are beginning to rip BW for the awful endings and believe me this WILL grow even more ten fold in intensity. And if anyone at BW has one live brain cell still functioning they damn well know this is just the easy part of this utter disaster. Four or five days after the release the massive Tsunami comes ashore and BW knows it! You'd have to be dead not to bring up this forum and the dangers yet to come.
What outsider reviews?

This is a near 400-page thread which constitutes over a quarter of all posts in this section. Do you really think people won't notice if anything happens to it?

Posting this again for people who are concerned, but not blind and insane with hysteria.
Listen closely.
This scene takes place before the end - the end itself actually sounds horrible -
.
Shepard and Anderson's conversation, and the tone of the conversation, would not make the least bit of sense if the reapers were still in the process of exterminating humanity.
That matches up the rumor that you can only get a perfect ending by Anderson dying.
WARNING SPOILERS
In It For The Tank posted:
Okay, so I should probably explain the Anderson thing.
endgame spoilers
If Anderson "survives" (he always dies, but if he survives long enough to speak with Shepard) then Shepard can survive the Destroy ending with an EMS of 4000. If Anderson dies before speaking with Shepard, Shepard will only survive the Destroy ending with an EMS of 5000 or more.
Rescuing Anderson is kind of complicated but basically there's an interrupt that will allow you to save him. The length of this interrupt is determined by how many times you charmed/intimidated a certain person throughout the final confrontation. If you successfully hit the interrupt, Anderson survives.
However, if you managed to charm/intimidate a certain person throughout the entire game (there are six opportunities, three of which are in the final confrontation) then there will be a final charm/intimidate option available. Charming the person will cause them to commit suicide, intimidating them will cause an interrupt that will allow Shepard to shoot the person. I highly recommend the intimidate option over the charm, because you miss out on some stuff if the person dies instantly.
So yeah, Anderson is worth 1000 GAW points. Expect some kind of meme to arise from this.

That's funny actually...I posted a long time ago, that this whole thing reminded me of BioWare itself. Lemme see if I can get the thoughtprocess together again.
So, we have a studio, that revitalized the PC RPG genre and succeed against odds (BW with Baldurs Gate) like Shepard succeeded against the odds in ME1. Then he continues to be successful, giving everyone hope for a brighter future (BioWare's games from BG to Mass Effect 1/2).
But there is this horrible threat from the rEApers. A seemingly all powerful being that attempts to assimilate all the most advanced civilizations. In the end, Shepard has to completely sacrifice himself and everything he holds dear to destroy them (BiOWare creating ME3 with an ending that creates such a huge backlash it will actually damage EA).
Hah....maybe I need sleep. XD

In the end we will win and Bioware will lose, why do I say that? We will never trust them again and nothing they will claim on ANY future products will hold credibility...Bioware will crumble or at least become disgraced for ever, for creating the most amazing game ever and hyping everyone about it and then RUINING IT for almost everyone!
I hope the other video game making companies will learn from Bioware, not to screw around with their fans!
They should, if they are really into control damage, release an extra ending (or fix the endings we have now BUT ITS TOO LATE as I can buy the game and play it today if I want to)- I hope that NG+ special ending would be the bitter sweet one or else I swear.....................

The parallels have crossed my mind many times as well. Maybe it is a suicidal marketing campaign, an effort to act out Shepard's own story through the actions of BioWare.

@AdhamS: There is always a dumb section of the crowd that will always buy future titles coz they will get awed by awesome reviews and trailers.
True...but everyone will remember Bioware and say "Oh yes its that company(whatever) that hyped hundreds of thousands and in the end gave them a big FUK you" If I had a company and people would say this about it everytime they remembered it I would buy a Desert Eagle and put it in my mouth and squeeze the trigger..........
Bioware is that close of being reaped by its owns fans.....how ironic........

Someone just made a post about how they will "freak the **** out" if anything happens to liara.
I want to tell him but i can't. With this sort of fan love for the characters you would think bioware would know of this and have an ending for that.

You could charm Saren into killing himself in ME1.
