Shepard has only one song, and this is it.

If the ending matched that song, none of us would be here complaining about it.

ya i like that one. i should have said it was my sheps song until he became..... well what he becameImage IPB

Amidala. Palapatine is too underhanded and you can't go wrong in fictional universes with a hot chick.

Besides, Vader has a cooler VA.

Hmmm... I'll have to think about that, we need more money in the coffers for the troops, this has been a rather drawn out fight....
As for Vader's VA, I'm hoping you mean the original Vader VA.

james earl jones was the only va for vader

Shepard didn't kill himself in the ending... The ending assassinated Shepard. They had a chance to revive him, but they decided it would be more awesome to expand on why they decided to butcher his character.

Somehow, this song seems to really speak to me about this whole situation, particularly our feelings about how "darker and edgier" are supposedly the new cool.

Tortured and brooding = depth, of course. Never mind that Shepard has already been to hell and back, how can a game be art without doom, gloom and no hope.

Giving up doesn't mean you're weak. It means you're strong enough to let go

/emo

Also, that video is awesome, lol.

Well we all know what happens when emo's are given a ship

I guess now a days, if it isn't brooding or dark it must be My Little Ponies, with rainbows and glitter. That's what I've seen coming from people who scoff at others who were hoping for a somewhat happy ending.

How's it going everyone. I wasn't able to get on earlier today, so just checking to see if any groundbreaking or life altering news has arisen.

Gotta feeling that today was the day for something. Don't know why I just think its time we get something concrete.

It's probably been about a month now since I finally took the Mass Effect 3 CD out of my computer never to go back in. I'm surprised by how apathetic I've become. I made up some stuff for that character book; at the time I really cared that female Shepard and Ash got a skeleton friendship with no slash and that Kelly got shafted. Some of my stuff got left out. I almost don't care.

BW had a plot of land all ready in my soul to cement an undying love for the series, on solid foundations in a giant bubble of adoration. It'll take a long time for that bubble to bleed out, but bleed out it will if the patch goes in the wrong place.

Hmmmmm. Can't say I'm surprised they're doing this, though it's just sad all round.  And good response bassi. Although, it's EA that we have to thank for stunted development times, isn't it?

This is a stunt.  And after ME 3 its in poor taste.  They already have an active forum, why would questions made by Bioware, with answers that they pick and choose over, provide any more fan control or feedback than what we have right now.

To give an example.  Bioware flat out told us what we wanted in EC DLC (at a point I might add, where it was apparent that what most of us wanted was a new ending), they took our suggestions and promptly ignored everything that was hard, expensive or challenging.  Tweaked some concepts that they already knew about,  (of course we want to see our war assets in action BW, you already knew that, you just decided to go cheap on us) and threw out the rest.

How will this be any different?

Nah, the area was already swathed in a shower of similar cosmic debris some time ago.

I've been reading a lot of articles about Diablo 3. I will never buy it, along with any other Blizzard game, but I've been keeping an eye on it, because I believe this may be the year gamers finally wake up, and stop eating what these companies have been shoveling, and Diablo 3 might be the Catalyst. uhh I hate that word now, thanks BioWare...

What astounds the **** out of me though, is that there are so many people eager to defend these shady practices. Why would anyone defend needing an internet connection for a single player game. Or thinking it's EA's right to basically tunnel our computer for information so it can sell it to their marketing affiliates?

It bugs me that so many people are willing to just bend over and take it.

I held off for so long letting Origin on my PC. It bugged the hell out of me as I was downloading it. So what I did was made a nice little secure partition, with a friendly little sandbox, and now I let Origin spend all day sitting in that sandbox sniffing around for something it'll never find.

I'm at a similar stage right now. Put they've poked so many holes with this PR that the love is all bled out. It should have been a very tough task to ruin it, but they managed to do it very fast.

Also, I guess I'm still a little miffed about the Female Shepard/Ashley romance thing (or rather the lack thereof), but I doubt fixing it would make me care enough to play the game. Maybe I'd feel obliged to do so considering they had adressed a very specific complaint of mine. But I don't even know where they would implement such a fix. If I had to guess, something like that would come at an extra charge, and if so, screw that noise (paying extra for things that were supposed to be in the game is a big no-no for me)

When they're saying from the Mass Effect side that they don't care what we say, yet with Dragon Age they're requesting our suggestions.... I can't care. Fix the first one before you try to even talk about the second.

At least listen without trying to take the easy way out. Stop talking out both sides of your mouth. Yes DA2 ultimately ended as a failure that took all the wind out of the sail of its series, and they're desperate to repair that. But they don't seem to realize the exact same thing has happened here with ME3. I suppose success breeds arrogance, and it  sometimes takes more than one failue to learn from your mistakes. As I've said, from my end it's too little too late (unless by some miracle they repair ME3. Operative word being miracle.)

I don't own Diablo 3. I understand why people would dislike the required internet connection. However, after talking about the subject with my best friend. I see why Blizzard went that route. Setting aside the complaints that would ensue if single and multiplayer characters were once gain separate, it comes down to cheating. Characters being stored locally would lead a repeat of what happened with Phantasy Star Online.
