How about now?
I see my Zero would be quite problematic here.
I agree, I think they won't appreciate my Heinkel Lerche any more...
...but they'll still appreciate it more than the ME3 ending.
In other news: I have now decided that if we've got absolutely nothing to go on (from either the SP or MP side of ME3) by this friday coming, then I'll be buggering off. There's plenty of other games out there that can provide a lot more fun, content and an ending that even remotely makes sense (and is worthy of their franchise). I paid £70 to get this game with what I hoped to be a fair few epic things, and I'm awfully shocked at what my money bought me.
When the box of my wonderful collector's edition arrived, I was shocked at the quality of it (the box itself is rather shoddy compared to other CEs), and it looked like it had literally been thrown at my house from orbit. I thought that it was just a petty thing, and that the rest of the game would make up for it.
When I went through the game and found several things hadn't returned at all, and characters were completely written off with an e-mail. I figured it could get better from there.
When I played through multiplayer, I swear I immediately assumed I was still playing the MP beta, everything was just as low quality and nothing had really changed at all since the beta release. I assumed that things would improve with DLC.
Then I got to the ending, where (no joke here), the instant it cut to credits, I shut down my Xbox, walked up to my room, opened up my laptop and searched google for "what the hell does the ME3 ending mean?". Minutes later, found this thread and have been watching ever since. I again expected Bioware to pull something off, to say they're sorry for not living up to the things they'd promised and then fufill our requests...
...And then they released their statement, which when translated from PR talk, essentially says "Thank you for the money, you can't have it back. You're opinion doesn't matter and you all suck. We are smarter than you and so we're not doing anything you want. Instead, we're going to give the part of the community what they want, 'cause we all know that you won't leave the franchise". In other words, they basically called us stupid for not understanding something that literarys are calling absolute b*****ks. I figured that they had something up their sleeve that would try to resolve this without anyone leaving the franchise or constructing 4000+ page threads...
...and then I waited...
Two and a half months later: what do I have to show for that £70 I spent? The singleplayer as a whole is terrible, the multiplayer is still as tedious as it was upon release, the box it came in has had to be taped back together, and we're all still waiting for something, ANYTHING to be released to resolve this. All previous faith I've had has been lost, and now I'm literally trying to find any reason how I can display ME3 as anything but a monumental ****-up. In retrospect, would I have bought the CE? No, I would have cancelled that pre-order with game and spent that £70 on the many other games that I've missed because I placed my faith somewhere I probably shouldn't have. Am I going to keep hold of my game until the EC is released? Probably only ever as a curiosity. They could do something that puts CD projekt to shame and it still won't be enough.
And so now I leave them 5 days, 3 hours and 4 minutes, that amount of time to offer me something to resplenish some of that faith I once had. We shall see what they can do in that time.
